NOW Foods Supplements, Black Currant Oil 1000 mg Double Strength with 140mg of GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid), 100 Softgels

After reporting to me doctor how bad my hair was falling out and being totally ignored I started taking this. It is a big gel oil but it easy to swallow and do worth it!!! My hair stopped falling out and a few months later I have so much hair growing back in that I have to lay down or it will stick up yay. That's a great problem to have! Another thing is way way less gray eyebrows to pluck out! And my brows are looking good again. I'm 61 and trying to look my best. You'll learn that when you get older your body hair changes. My brows had begun to stick up like you see so many old men doing and the gray ones would stick strait out! But now it's like I've turned back time ten years where they're concerned. My nails haven't improved a great deal, but the change in my hair is enough to give it give stars 🤩

Am taking Black Current Oil for regenerating head hair growth (as a senior-aged female.). I am pairing it with Pumpkin Seed Oil (: NOW’s 1000 mg.)Have based my decision for these Two Oils from many others’ reviews of various male & gender-neutral supplements.These two, per reviews, seem to Not Promote male-facial hair for females.I have found that spacing out to one capsule of each every 4th Day - limits the normally occurring facial hairs - and my head hair is vital & full.I have taken other supplements (collagen …) off & on for 6 years & used various hair shampoos - so do suggest these Two Oils to be in addition to other Healthy Hair options !!!

I ordered the product & was supposed to receive it same day. its been 3days. I need to take this.

My eye doctor suggested this... They are a little hard for me to swallow... I'll do an update if I notice any changes... It's wipe to be good for your eyes and eyesight...? Well see! No pun intended.

My hair had not shed while I was pregnant and decided to all fall out when my baby turned 3 months. Every day, every shower, copious amounts of hair just leaving in shocking amounts.This is the first thing I tried and it worked.First thing I noticed was my scalp (which was apparently burning unbeknownst to me) stopped burning when I would take it. For the first week or so this served as a great reminder for my second dose as my scalp would slowly begin burning again after about 6-8 hrs. The scalp eventually stopped burning completely.Second thing noticed, my shedding slowed way down. I went from gathering a cantaloupe sized ball of hair (even twice a day, depending on how many showers) down to a fist sized amount in a matter of days (within wk 1). It maintained that amount for maybe another week (wk 2) before it reduced completely to a few strands per shower during the third week. This is the current amount I shed (first bottle complete).And finally, regrowth. This began noticeably around the third week. Photo shows week 3 of regrowth to the end of the first bottle (almost 3 months). Also I noticed that my baby’s hair was also getting thicker around this time.Update: after I finished the first bottle, I took a break for a couple months. Hair growth during the break wasn’t extraordinary like it was while taking black currant, but the improvements to shedding has maintained and my hair growth/shedding seem to have stabilized to pre-baby levels.

I notice the difference in my skin’s dryness level, when I stop taking these oil capsules. I also have dry eyes and the oil helps with that, too. However, I find Castor Oil to be more effective for my dry eyes.

This is #1 on AMAZON but it is *not* the best black currant oil for people with real health problems. I have dry eye, used this for years. It definitely helped some. But I tried the Vitamin Shoppe brand, which is much more potent, and my eyes did much better--closest to normal they've ever been. PMS got better as well (and I'm in my 40s). NOW products work at about 30% of what better brands work at. So you will get something from them. But please understand you're not saving as much money as you think. Like with the Vitamin Shoppe brand I can take 1,000 mg and it does more than NOW at 3,000 mg. If you have some serious health condition, I do not recommend this brand. I recommend going with a higher quality brand, even if it cost more. I gave this 5 stars so that it would be visible.

I bought to in the hopes it would help my chronic telegen effluvium but it has not. I continue to take it because I think it maybe helping my immune system not get sick.
