Nothing on the package says the kind of wheat from which it is made.

Q: Anyone had any issues with tiny crunchy stones in bulgur?

I have ordered this 3 to 4 times, two packages per order and have not found any tiny stones in it. However, that being said, I use mine to make Tubule with it and found out I need to wash my parsley really well. I use curly and Italian parsley and found the curly seem to have more grit in it. Hope this helps you out.
