I bought this item for a final packer of trash in the compactor. Perfectly sized, with the handle. However, the handle can't handle the pressure, broke off with first two uses.All is not lost as it works perfectly without the handle in the compactor.For manual trash can packing, I'm sure it will work great.

This is PERFECT for smashing and compacting trash in your existing trash can. There's a bonus, too, when my grandsons use it they yell "Hulk Smash" before compacting the trash. Laughter every time. It's also much more affordable than the cans with the compactor attached. Very easy to clean and stores on the side of the can. Highly recommend.
