A very good brush set at a reasonable price
I am a beginner makeup artist and bought these makeup brushes to add to my existing collection which is of a high end brushes. These brushes are as good as the high end brushes that I have. I get flawless finishes with these brushes. The kit includes all the brushes that I need for the makeup. Will be buying more sets. The bristles are very soft and also cleans very well.

This is a great variety for the price
Nice little kit of brushes, soft and hopefully durable in a plastic container with a good variety of brushe

Fantastic for the price; great for someone just starting out with makeup application; some advanced brushes missing
* Update 4/24/2017I'm taking off a star for the following reasons:1. I noticed that after weekly washings, one of the brush heads came off. Whereas this can be easily fixed with super glue, I don't trust something that can come off that easily. What really stinks is that it was my favorite brush out of the set: the rounded off, slightly angled face brush.2. The smallest eye brush are pretty much crap. The liner brush will NOT work well with anyone who wants precision. Having said that, the other eye brushes are still terrific.Original Review: December 2016This is my fourth purchase with BS-MALL for makeup brushes and it's because I keep giving them out as gifts.Initially, I was introduced to them by my hair dresser who is also a great makeup artist. I was looking through her stuff, and I picked up one of the eye brushes at random, and thought they were some brand I've never heard of (because there was no marking on hers). When I asked them where she got these, she told me Amazon and that she would never buy eye brushes again from any other company because of the price.Skeptical, I bought a set for my colleague's daughter who graduated from high school last June. She liked them so much that she wrote me a thank you note (when does that happen any more with teenagers?) and my colleague said she wanted a set for herself. Sheepishly, I told her where to get them and how much they cost, and she was completely impressed.Since then, I've bought and recommended these to anyone who might be remotely interested, and I just bought another set because I want one for my car.The face brushes are great, though I am sticking to my Tarte foundation brush for my foundation. I have a lot of heavy acne scars, and that brush works the best. I'm sure the ones here would suffice, but I just like my Tarte brush the best (and it's big, so a few strokes does the trick). I use the face brushes here for my bronzer, highlighter, blush, and contour. They work great except for contour. I feel you need smaller brushes to get the precision you really need, but I'm pretty particular about how contour is applied.Another great thing about the face brushes is that they work as well on powders as they do with cremes. They pick up the right amount of product, I don't see too much kickback, etc.A few of the eye brushes are completely useless to me. That includes the last three smallest brushes. I'm sure they can be used for a makeup novice, but for anyone who is into the makeup game, I find that rather useless. I will probably give those to my daughter. But all the other eye brushes are absolutely fantastic, bordering on amazing. My favorite is the angled brush - I literally can probably just use that brush for my entire eye look, but I choose to be more precise by using other brushes. I have yet to use a brush that lays the foundation as well as it does and I have very expensive brushes from MAC and so forth.I would say the only brushes missing in this set that would be essential for someone who does a full face makeup would be:- a REALLY good contour brush (I highly recommend the Tarte one for that application as well)- a great concealer brush: the one here is not something I would use for concealer, but it is a very good eye brush!- smudger: if you never do the smokey eye look, you won't need that brush- under eye shadow brush: for the lower lash line; there's one that is sufficient, but not great- large powder brush: personally, I have no need for such a brush, but I've noticed this is a must for a lot of other womenThis is a GREAT set for a young woman who is just starting out with makeup. Literally, it'll take her years to reach the next level of brushes she'll need. I highly recommend this set for anyone who wants to try out brushes outside your normal commercial brushes (MAC, Sigma, even Morphe or Real Techniques --> sorry if I spelled that wrong). I think you'll be wildly surprised how good these are.I would NOT recommend this set for anyone who is looking to up their game in makeup application. You are going to be happier doing the Morphe subscription box (which I heard is fantastic, but I have no personal experiences with that subscription box).

Quality inexpensive brushes for flawless makeup application/reduced product waste with every use
My husband bought these for me as a Christmas gift because I wanted to switch to applying make-up with brushes instead of the foam applicators I had previously used for most of my adult life. The brushes come packaged in a plastic throw away container so you will need a storage space for the brushes set. Included in the set is assorted larger face brushes and an assorted set of smaller brushes mostly used for blending/eyeshadows. There is also a picture insert included that identifies each brush with a brief explanation of what product to apply with brush. That helped me get started since I never have been a brush person. I use to love makeup, it was one of my favorite obsessions but I slowly lost interest in it over the years until I did the bare minimum out of obligation. I say that because once I started playing with my new brushes, they revived my excitement over makeup and I use these brushes daily throughout my whole makeup routine. They are comfortable to hold, lightweight and the brush strokes give you an even, light and natural coverage that you don't get with any other application preference. The bristles are soft, hold their shape and are securely fixed to the base, even after cleaning they stay the same. Each brush serves it's own function and the brushes are angled, flat, pointed, etc so that makeup is applied where it should be most effectively with minimal product. Since switching to these brushes, my makeup application is flawless and evenly applied for a natural looking, full coverage look. After applying my moisturizer and face/eyeshadow/eyelash primer then I begin using my brushes as I apply my foundation, concealer, powder and trio with bronzer, highlighter & blush. Each product has its own unique brush for application. Eye shadow application is fun with multiple brushes of differing sizes and shapes that help create any multiple color eyeshadow look that is completed using the blending brush to blend it all together for a seamless eye color transition. Its made it more fun for me to expand my eyeshadow palette. There is also a fine point brush that can be used for eye liner, lip liner, etc for precise thin application. Big bonus is that I am using less product and no wasting product anymore. For example, just a couple drops of foundation is enough for total coverage instead of applying with fingers/sponge which takes me more. I put small amount on brush, dot it on my forehead and cheeks then starting at top brush down til face is covered completely. I was shocked how little it took to do my face this way. It will save you money or like I did, allow you to splurge on your wish list high end foundation and not feel guilty because its going to go a long way. Makeup tools/brushes that help maximize products lifespan is a main reason this gets a perfect rating! This is a really good brush set and for the price, you can't pass it up really. I take care of my brushes storing them in a cup (bristles up so they hold tight shape and don't fan out), clean brishes routinely and gently use it to apply makeup and as long as you take care of them they brushes will hold their shape and bristles will stay intact. I would definitely buy this set again when needed down the road. It's not often in makeup/beauty products that you can find a cheaper alternative to quality, higher end products but this is definitely equivalent as I have since tried an unnamed highend brush for foundation application and didn't find it to do any different job then this brush set. *Iven been using these for almost a month, I don't know how long these will last before they start losing their shape/bristles fall out and they can't satisfactory apply makeup anymore. I originally have given this 5 stars but if this rating is less than 5 stars in the future it will be because the brushes didn't have the lifespan expected and had replace them to soon (if that happens, it will be a different brand next time and the rating will be a 3 star; if the rating is still a 5 star then they lived a long satisfying brush life)

Amazing for the price!
The best cheap makeup brushes I have ever tried. There are so many and they work really well

Huge selection of sizes, soft, stand up to cleaning
Purchased twice for use with makeup, once for applications of powder and cream medicines. The brushes are soft and work well, and have withstood several cleanings without bristle loss. An occasional handle may come loose, but for the quality and price point it's no big deal

Why did they shrink though :(
I would give these a higher rating if they didn't shrink the brushes!!! I threw away my old ones unfortunately otherwise I would do comparison photos. I have used these brushes for a veryyyy long time and I could see as soon as I opened the packaging that these new brushes were not only smaller/shorter in length than the old set I bought by the same brand, but it looks like at lease some of the large face brushes are less dense i.e. the most tapered face brush included here. You are getting a set of nice face brushes. And I do still like how dense these are. I'm hoping they perform well still but I will say it's really a bummer that they were noticeably smaller than the old ones right off the bat. The OG product was perfect!!!
