Genuine toners, great quality easy to recyle
I use the HP toners as they work, you know what you are getting and the recycling process is very easy. The HP toners are great quality and the high volume ones last me a long time.

A reminder of the end that awaits us all
Toner is something that makes white paper black.A piece of paper is born virginal, pure and unsullied.Like gods, we control its fate by writing its future on our computers. Then the paper (which knows nothing of what is about to happen) is fed into our LaserJet.With a whirr, it is pulled around into the drum where selectively electrically charged toner particles are attached. Finally like a branded steer, the heat unit permanently fuses the toner to the paper. Now the paper is used. It is permanently and irrevocably changed.Gone is its whiteness, its purity, and in its place is a stark image or text. And the colour - black. The darkest colour you can get.It is a complete contrast to the white - the yin and yang is clear. If you have a large enough piece of black it is like staring into the abyss.Like that paper, all of us are marked. Some of us are saying something useful. Some of us will make people happy. Some of us will make people sad.But we will never be pure again. And once marked by toner (or life) we know we are inexorably heading towards decline and death. If we've been printed with the wrong marks, perhaps we are thrown away immediately.Perhaps we will be around for a long time. But eventually the shredder or the dustbin awaits us all.And then everything will be black.

Never use a generic one again
Far superior quality than a generic cheaper version. Will only stay with this cartridge from now on!

It's OEM quality (and OEM pricing)
It's an HP product for an HP printer; it works perfectly and the clarity of printing is unrivalled. I bought these at a point where HP were offering cash back, which sweetened things a little. It's a no brainier though; if you spend good money on a good printer, then buy good quality paper, and you want excellent printing results, you MUST go OEM. I've tried aftermarket and they never live up to their promises. Just saw yourself the hassle and buy OEM high-yield.Once you've spent the money , you won't miss it and you'll appreciate the flawless results with every page.

Good for less than half the promised number of pages
Maybe I'm just unlucky but with my HP MFP M277n I've twice bought the genuine 201A cartridges and found that the black one has become unusable (unreadably faint prints) after only about 500 pages of normal use. This is despite all the usual tricks like taking the cartridge out and shaking to redistribute the toner. According to the Supplies Status report, the black cartridge is 50% full - and yet it's already unusable. I've had to start printing documents in dark blue just to make them legible. Worse still, the MFP driver allows no control over print density. HP support are utterly useless - just the same endlessly repeated but unhelpful copy/pasted answers.I've used a wide range of HP printers over the past 25 years but frankly, after this experience, there's no way I'd ever buy another one.

Good value when on offer - lasts a long time!
This refill goes into a truly wonderful colour laser printer - both my son and I have one now and neither machine has let us down once (except when it goes into sleep mode - somewhat irritating but is energy saving, I suppose). We've both decided to stick with buying original HP toner having both come unstuck with a previous Epson printer using re-made refill toners. We look out for special offers on the original HP toners like this one from Amazon and keep a set in reserve. The ink in these "X" toners seems to last forever so, overall, we're thinking HP offer reasonably good value and at least the printer warranty (three years) won't be voided.

Make sure you buy the "X" version.
Seems expensive but when you compare it on a like for like basis it works out similar to other brands. My last laser printer was a Samsung, the cartridges were half the price but only rated for half the printing capacity.HP have two versions of laser cartridge, the standard version and the X version. I'd recommend the "X" version as they are rated for higher number of printouts and work out cheaper overall, despite being literally a few pounds dearer.

Excellent print quality - will never use generics again.
Had been having printing problems with my HP M277 for ages. Thought is was just a naff printer but took out the generic cartridges and replaced them with these and the difference is staggering. I had always believed, wrongly, that generic cartridges would be better as they were so much cheaper but having tried both there really is no comparison.I have uploaded a photo of two demo demo pages, the one on the left was printed using my old generic cartridges and the one of the right was taken using these. Can you spot the difference?
