Would this work vertically?

Not very well, as vertical letterboxes usually have a spring or are on a top flap system so that the flap closes after use. This letterbox is meant to be fitted horizontally.

Hi, I ordered one of these letterbox’s and the brushes are normally on the inside but, the screw heads should be inside and the brushes are outside???

Mine went on fine - screws tightened from the inside so can’t be seen or tampered with from the outside, brushes on the outside under the flap. Hasn’t been a problem. Hope that helps.

Is the flap loose, my exist flaps when it's windy, very annoying hope new one doesn't flap with the wind?

The flap is spring loaded, never had any problem in strong winds
