Q: Is this the right battery for 2005 toyota prius?

I have a 2005 and I replaced my battery with this model last year.

Q: Does this Optima battery sold by Amazon have a recent manufactured date? My local auto shops only have something from a year ago which are no good.

The battery date is Dec. 2012. I installed it into a 2007 Prius and it works fine. Warranty is for 3 years from my receiving the battery.
