Q: If i want to use this product on just the raspbian os, do i need anything in particular software wise?

We're using it for our pi arcades and it didn't require any configuration. It's seen as a generic gamepad from dragon software.

Q: I can’t get these to recognize on my raspberry. They work on my pc so I know it’s not a bad board. Any ways to fix this?

Raspberry pi zero and zero w models don't have enough power draw to power USB devices. You need to get a USB hub with external power to be able to use USB. (Pretty ridiculous design decision on their part, but what can you do?)

Q: Does it work with the Nintendo Switch?

These were a gift to someone, but I don't believe they would work because neither controller is wired.
