Great handheld planer! Does the job and easy to control. Also it works great with just a 2amp battery installed, which I was expecting to use a 4 amp or larger to get it working properly!

Excellent quality. Blade cuts well and depth is easily adjustable. Love that it uses same battery as my other Dewalt tools. Very pleased

What did I ever do without this tool? It's wonderful.Nice quality, does exactly what is supposed to do and doesn't drain the battery too fast. My new favorite toy. 5 stars.

I like to do some hand tool woodworking and I use this as a "cheat" to save myself hassle and energy with rough dimensioning. You really should use some earbuds or ear protection with it, and probably a dust mask (although I don't), but otherwise, it is great. Just like with hand planes, I add a squiggle or two of paraffin wax to the sole to make it slide more smoothly. This is the first time I have used a battery powered hand planer. It is so much nicer and safer than a corded power planer. Fair price, great quality, nice features, nice balance, and a 5 AH battery goes a long way. Highly recommended.

The tool is awesome, I only deducted a star because the instructions are horrendous. Honestly the instructions are so bad you thought I would have bought some generic chinese-made product. I never expected something like this from DeWalt. Instructions tell you nothing about it or how to use it or how to change blades or anything....

Works perfectly, right out of the box. I wish it came with a shavings bag, but they are available separately.

I remodel homes. This helped me quickly an accurately remove fence post material that was causing a gate to bind. There wad plenty of power.

Works as advertised. Very easy to handle.
