Entry level Mudmaster, a definite winner for an all occasion wristwatch
Watch was delivered on time and in perfect condition, am very happy. This Casio Mudmaster is everything I wanted out of a wristwatch, genuine sapphire glass, high G forces durable, EZ to read face, extremely reliable, bonus compass and thermometer, but most of all, ACCURATE in keeping time. I own a host of other Casios(ie. gold metal G-Shocks, digital and sports analogs), and one thing I noticed within a few days is the Mudmaster doesn't sprint ahead a few seconds per week, it's virtually spot on with my wall clock sync'd with Atomic Time. I'm a stickler for accuracy, which accounts for my other Swiss watches, but this one I can wear when getting a little dirty is the occasion for the day. This Casio is in a whole other league. For those thinking about the Mudmaster series, the buttons are a little more in-depth than your typical department store Casio watch. It's a good thing YouTube has videos to help you figure out your Mudmaster, I recommend learning there. This Casio Mudmaster is one of the best values for what you are getting in a wristwatch. It's pricey to where you are getting a high quality wristwatch, but not outrageous, it's that right amount of dollar/quality ratio. If you're still on the fence, "oh, but it's still a Casio", I'd just like to say the G-Shock Mudmasters are a next echelon in their line of wristwatches. You are getting what you pay for, and then some. I hope you enjoy your wristwatch, as much as I am enjoying mine!

Initially, I'm THRILLED
12/1/22 - I've only had this watch a week. So far I love it. It's built like a tank and looks magnificent. I love all the great features and really appreciate having so much info readily accessible.SIZE: Everyone told me it would be too thick and bulky and I should stick with something smaller. I haven't worn a watch in decades, yet I don't agree with them. Aside from staring at it constantly because it's so gorgeous I hardly notice it's there. I worried it'd get snagged on my pants pockets and/or get in the way when I'm typing but I'm not seeing a problem yet.FEATURES: I love having a digital compass and backlit display at my fingertips. I chose a twin sensor model most for the thermometer though and it seems to be unreliable because it's greatly affected by body temp. I feel they should warn you that you'd need to remove the watch for 30 minutes to get an accurate reading.COMFORT: Another concern I had was the band material. I worried it would be uncomfortable and cause my wrist to sweat. I'm happy to say neither is true. I find the resin band to feel quite nice. It feels rugged and the texture keeps the watch form twisting as much as metal bands do. Kudos to Casio for plastic wings (back protectors) that make the back of the watch where the band attaches feel comfy.DURABILITY: I haven't beaten mine up much but I have banged the crystal on hard objects accidentally and was amazed it didn't break. I also scratched it against metal a few times and it's still in mint condition. The band is held on like a tank tread, wow. I can't imagine how you could put enough force on this watch to break the band; it feels indestructible. I hate the typical spring pins, so I'm glad to see such beefy connectors.OVERALL: I had a hard time dropping this much money on a watch, but I believe I'm getting my money's worth. I bet this is the last watch I ever have to buy.

The perfect watch [5 years later]
I've ordered this watch almost 5 years ago.I've got Apple watch after it.yet I still prefer this one over Apple watch. Most of time (like 80% of time ) I pick this G-shock over any other watch that I have.I've done everything with this watch. gym, swimming in the sea or in the pool, camping in the desert.after 5 years it looks perfect .. the usage signs give you impression that it been used for less than one year.

Great value in a rugged watch
I've owned G-Shocks for years and this is the first analog version I've owned. It's a large watch but the light weight negates its size. Buy this if you need a watch for working out, hiking, working with power tools, etc. It's not meant for the board room or suit and tie, it's meant for people that work with their hands and can be rough on watches. Two reasons for four stars: Casio should have put a sapphire crystal in this one. Sapphire is not that much more than mineral glass and people will gladly pay the difference for the added protection against scratches, although having a well recessed crystal does help protect it.The other reason is the poorly designed night light. The night light does nothing to illuminate the LCD panels, just the hands. The lume on the hands should be used for viewing in low light and any backlighting should be designed to enable the wearer to see the LCD panels. As it is, you cannot see the LCD panels at all unless you are in good lighting or shine a flashlight on your watch if it's dark. Big mistake on Casio's part they will hopefully correct on future versions.Other than that it's a great value in a tough built watch and one you can wear when you don't feel like babying your timepiece.
