Q: Will these kits work with avid power oscillating tool, 3.5-amp?>

I don’t see why it won’t work they tend to fit most tools. I have a Milwaukee and a rigid and they work on both.

Q: Is the welding part easy to break? I saw comments from other shops saying it breaks easily.

Not easy to break,I have used it many times and they are still strong

Every blade can cut, but I recommend to use a semi-circle blade for cutting carpet. It's wide enough to cut fast.
