Awesome Product
Review: (My weapon: Citadel Traditional Fullsize 1911-A1 9mm)Summary: Awesome product, looks and functions great, needs filing to fit properly, shipping was horrible.Fit: It "fit" the gun out of the box, however if I literally would have just taken it out of the box and left it as is the gun wouldn't of functioned. The slide rubbed it and the grip section was too thick to let the grips mate in the middle. The grips themselves are clearly made to be ground to fit per application there are "built up" areas of material around sections that can be easily filed for a custom fit. Bottom line is 45 minutes later and a pile of plastic these grips fit perfectly and look great.Function: The included hardware is functional and easy to install, the grips are not any wider than the set of hogue wrap around grips I took off to install them (they may feel "wider" to people who use panel grips as any wrap around grip does. I was going to stiple the grips when I got them but there is no need the raised grip texture is pretty effective. Feels good in the hand and the rail works perfectly. I have a laser/light combo on there fits perfect the gun does not feel significantly heavier than before even with the light/laser on it. These grips also surround the area where the slide release pin is and helps to keep you from scratching up the frame when you are taking it apart, added bonus.Aesthetics: Confirmed the factory picture does suck as I suspected and the grips are a much tougher looking dark OD green like they should be not the light olive looking color in the photos. The gun looks mean I really like the looks of these grips.Note: Let me say while the item is awesome shipping speed was horrendous it took it like 10 days to drive from LA to PDX which is literally as simple as saying leave LA get on the I5 and stop when you get to Portland 8 hours later... Its not like it came from Hong Kong, from which I have received products faster than I got this. Ill try to add a picture to the customer images.

Nice quality
Nice fit and bright color. Still looks very good and smooth

Estheric challenge for tight fit
Fitting to standard frame show prominent gaps at trigger guard and foreframe. Used rubber bands to attempt to close gaps to help grip feel secure. Otherwise simple install, just esthetically diminished.

Good grip rail system but some fitting may be required! Covers up serial # on most guns! Do cut out!
This product went on my SA Emp4 with a little fitting, not much for a average joe! Though its a bit long for the EMP 4 it still looks and feels great and actually saves the finish on your gun! Its a shooters preference but Probably best for Regular size commander an up. Im not sure the polymer/ plastic is the same as the GLS polymer material as on a glock but its good enough. One thing I did was cut out a space for the serial numbers to show because this will cover the #s on the gun, and "In a pinch" LE will not say please remove the grips so we can check the numbers to make sure this is your gun !!!!!

A Great and Cheap Modification
This is a very good system. Very, very easy to install. No need to be a Gunsmith, just knowledge of a screwdriver. I have it on a Rock Island Arms Colt Commander Clone, and it still fits and functions perfectly fine with it. My only con is that it doesn't work with my BlackHawk SHERPA Sport kydex holster anymore, since it adds considerably to the overall thickness of the frame. However, I'm still leaving it at 5 stars, because that's not the fault of the manufacturer, just the overall difficulty in trying to find a left-handed duty holster for 1911s. It is very comfortable in the hand, and looks stylish, as well. Held up completely fine to around 100 rounds on range day, and just needed a slight tightening on the front screw afterwards. The rail is also a nice addition, and worked with the lights and lasers I had lying around. For this price, I was blown away with how solid of a product it was.

I like it
Feels very sturdy, attaches very snug and will take pretty much any attachment (light, laser etc.) you want/have.

Caution when buying
Nice concept. Did not fit well. Holes were not drilled in the right places and to adjust the holes to make work(ish). Slide also rubs against the top causing it to drag when racking the slide.

It looks okay, but the rail slots are set too far back to use my ADE laser.
I bought this for my American Tactical M1911, so I could mount a laser sight to the pistol.Unfortunately, there are only three rail spots and they're all too far back to allow me to use the Ade Advanced Optics green laser sight that I purchased the grips for. With the laser mounted as far forward as possible on the rail, there isn't enough clearance between the trigger guard and the back of the laser, to plug in the charging cable for the laser. It lacks about 4 mm of clearance, even with a 90 degree micro B cable. There's enough room on a 1911 for it, I wish they would extend the rail enough to add another slot.I could probably hack the cable and/or the grips to make it work, but I'll probably just switch the smaller red laser from my Glock to this one. The green Ade laser works fine on my Glock 19.The fitment isn't too bad, but there's a noticeable gap left between the grip halves under the trigger guard after it's installed. From the picture you can tell the color is just a little bit more of a purple hue than in the ad, but that was a good thing in my book.https://www.amazon.com/Ade-Advanced-Optics-Rechargeable-Sub-Compact/dp/B0764QGBYC/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
