Lack of blades and blade quality
I received my order only minutes ago. The box says there's suposeto be 25 blades. There's 2 in the bag. 1 in the item that's 3 total. I ordered and paid for 25 blades and didn't receive. The quality of blades are also sub par. The once installed already went dull after 2 wires. I do not recommend

It works, but un-refined
I bought this to strip stranded wire only (#12 & #10). Solid wire is best done with a utility knife. My main complaint is that the "L" bracket that supports the rod, on the depth adjustment side, didn't allow a #2 Phillips head screwdriver to reach the screw properly ( file or grind it down with a dremel tool. )With that modification, it made razor adjustment a breeze. I set it to "Rough zipper" feel. Also, this tool cuts a near invisible line in the wire. Bend it back against the cut and it usually exposes the wire. The only other problem is the clear outer sheath on newer THHN tends to bind up on occasion. I plan to bevel the holes if it becomes a real problem.

Dynamite DOES come in small packages!
Although I was surprised by the small size, I was quickly reminded that dynamite does come in small packages. This stripper worked for every type wire that I've run through it, with the exception of solid, or stranded, single conductor wire (the type run through conduit) that has a clear insulation over the top of the colored insulation. If you attempt to cut through both the clear and colored insulation at the same time, the clear will wad up behind the perforated wheel that you pull the wire through, jamming up the wire. The solution I found to this problem is to set the cutter blade just deep enough to cut through the clear insulation, and pull the wire through. peel off the clear, then set the cutter deep enough to cut through the colored layer of insulation, then pull the wire through a second time. Although it does require duplication of effort for this type wire, it is a viable solution to the problem. There was a lot of thought put into the design of this tool, and the quality of it is great as well.
