SurcoVintage Carrom Board with Coins and Striker, 8mm

This Surco carrom board is very good. I know from experience as I had used same brand in India previously.This Surco Winit 8MM board is available from several sellers on Amazon, and just make sure that you get a SURCO branded and manufacturedboard as described. I ordered it and received an RDM brand board which was of poor quality, so I returened it. I then re-ordered the Surcoboard again from another seller , after confirming with the seller via Email that I am going to get the Surco board as shown.The RDM branded board has a playing area darker in colour(brownish like Maple syrup) and not very smoothly finished. It looked like it waspainted with varnish. It may have gotten better with use, but it seemed very unlikely that it will become like the Surco board which I received later.The Surco board seems to be mechanically surface polished, and is not as glossy and dark coloured as the RDM board, and its so smooth even when it new.I am sure it will get better with use. The Surco board I received later had a slight chip off one edge of the frame, but its not going to affect stabilityor game play as it was on the outside , and not very big (it is about 2 inch long and 0.5cm deep) .The carrom men (or coins!) supplied with the carrom board are good , and so is the striker. Just get some Boric acid powder and you are set.Overall , I would recomment the Surco Winit 8mm board, its good for non-professional (but above amateur) play ! Just make sure you receive the correct one.

Purchased this board and used it only few times for 3-4 months. Then it was left unused for the next 2-3 months in a safe and dry area (no moisture in the air) inside its cover. When it was opened again, it's surface was found Deformed and Uneven. It is no more in a usable condition. Can’t even resale it as it has become a total waste. I payed more $ for this as compared to other options in the market just because it looked high quality. But certainly that is not the case. I don't recommend this product to anyone.

Not bad for the price. The back side of the board is horrible. The supports on the back is just unfinished and for sure it will hurt if you scrub/wipe or just an accidental rub. The carrom men are not flat, obviously poor quality. The striker is another nightmare. I bought a twenty USD ball striker and planning to buy a good carrom men set too. The playing surface is very good, its smooth. Then and there you can the droplets of ink used for markings. The paint inside the frame comes off after some time when you hit with striker for multiple frame shots. The pocket nets are just fine. Seems expensive, just because of US, when you compare the quality of true local piece for the same price. If you want to start as a beginner, this would be a good call. Surely not for pros.

Correct size board packaged safely with foam. Only a few scratches/ sides could be a little smoother but it's good quality for the price. If you want flawlessness than buy a 300 tournament board, otherwise this is overall a good board to play on, only thing I will change is the hand crochet nets.

I am super satisfied with this board. PERFECT size. Brings back memories of my childhood when I used to play and have fun. Perfect for the family.----------Quality---------Wood is smooth. No imperfections. Not even a single scratch when the board was delivered. No warping or bending. IT IS TOURNAMENT QUALITY. No doubt. You don't have to even use powder if you have breathing issues. It is that silky smooth. I use it in my game room and everyone want to play on it and keep inquiring about where I had gotten it from. I am very particular about quality especially when you pay so many dollars for a carrom board. But this board exceeded my expectations. One for life...-----Size-----Correct size even for kids as they can grow into itMy 8 year old can already play on this one....Dont this this is too big. CORRECT size for anyone really.Do yourself a favor and get this already. Great quality and fantastic price.You cant get this board for almost the same money even in INDIA.So get this already and have FUN...

Much more solid than most Carrom boards. Great value. Do get a stand. I didn't and found it annoying, so I bought one a week later.

I must start this review by mentioning that I was a little bit unsure about investing in this product and in general about which one to choose from the options available. I choose this board because of the Surco brand and some good reviews on this site and thought of giving this one a try.Starting with the packing of the product. Really good!! About three layers of packing including the thermocol packing inside a cardboard box did a great job of getting this carrom board from the store to my place in a really good condition. Everything on this is original Surco including the cellotapes used for packing :)Talking about the board itself, smooth enough to give around 4 rebounds, decent quality of coins and practice striker (all from Surco). The carrom board came with a set of coins, one striker and also a simple plastic wrap-on cover. The playing surface is 29 x 29 as mentioned in the description and is ideal size for enjoying the game as a hobby sport or even when just picking up new. Among the 4mm, 8mm, 16mm and other variants available, I would recommend to go for at least 8mm or higher. This 8mm piece weighs roughly around 30pounds and should be an ideal option to enjoy with family and friends.
