Odilon Redon: 197 Colour Plates Paperback – May 28, 2016

This book of reproductions of Odelion Redon’s art is an excellent value for the price. This book was under $20USD and has well over 100 colour and black and white prints. The paper quality is what you would or should expect for the price point. The colours and art are vibrant and clear with many enlarged detail plates, too. I am satisfied. Thanks.

I love Redon’s work but it’s hard to find many books with large color plates. Although there are a few large plates in the book, I wish there were more enlarged. Anyway I’m happy with the book.

Very flimsy glossy paperback. Quality of photos is very poor, faded. 4 photos per page - cannot make out detail.Hard pass

Lovely Redon images and details. No unnecessary verbiage.Good for a close look at this little known master of painting.

Book is the size of a letter-size printer paper, just 86 pages. A brief one-page essay on the artist. Small reproductions, sometimes up to four paintings on a page. Very little information on the paintings themselves (is it watercolor, pastel, oil? What is the size of the work? Many of the works also do not reference their year of completion, and works are not even grouped by genre or any type of classification. Honestly, one could download better, higher-resolution images online, as well as gather more information about Redon's work on the internet!
