Excellent value for money, hard to beat
Overall, after a couple of weeks, I can report I am extremely satisfied with this watch, my first automatic. It has many features not typically found at this price point on similar Seikos, for example, sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, hacking and hand winding, the lume is great, and so offers industry-leading value for money. This stands as easily one of the best sub-300 USD / 200 GBP watches out there. I was debating between this great red Kamasu and the gun metal grey so-called "Dress-KX" from Seiko.Design wise, I would prefer a less busy face with a simpler logo and less text, but that's my personal preference. The crown is small. It can be a bit of a fiddle to unscrew/screw back in given its small size, and I would have prefered something more substantial (Seiko 5s typically seem to have quite fat crowns). Also the bezel is polished with indentations only on the top angle, making it fairly slippery. Great once you have set it, but a bit awkward if you like to twist your bezel.I bought via Amazon US and got English and Spanish on the day wheel, though I am told from the European marketplace you will get a seconday-language as French.

Solid Japanese Wrist watch
Exceeded my expectations. The acuracy was meant to be -10 +20 seconds a day, I found out I get better than that over a week. The lume is fantastic and I love the colour of the bezel. Power reserve was meant to be 40 hours, my gets 45 without winding it, just from wearing it all day. Japanese quality well priced. Definitelly recommend it

Just beautiful
Beautiful watch. Probably THE most beautiful dial I have ever owned. I keep checking the time just so I can look at the watch!Size is ok for my 6.5 inch wrist. Bezel is creamy yet just stiff enough. Accuracy is fine as mechanical and I never expect perfection there.Excellent value for money.Bracelet is ok, comfortable and has lots of micro adjust points BUT it's incredibly hard to remove links! Maybe it's just my bracelet but I broke my adjusting tool on this bracelet. Just really hard to push the pins out and I have stiff bracelets in the past but this is something else. I would still recommend the watch however as it is soooo gorgeous. Thinking about the teal one now.

Amazing watch for getting into automatic movements!
I have wanted to upgrade my watch to a proper automatic watch for a while and found this to be a decent price point. It is stylish and wears well. Comping from only fashion watches this is a great start to having an automatic movement watch without going for one of the big brands.I wear this as my workday watch as an IT tech and had picked up a few scratches here and there on the bracelet but that is to be expected. The face of the watch has held up well and has had no marking to it at all.Wear it daily or it will run out of wind after about 2 days sat on the side but this is the expectation of an automatic. All in all, I can't fault it one bit for what I use it for.

A contemporary icon among diver watches, offering unbeatable value
Orient is certainly a brand that you won't know if you don't have an interest in horology. You won't know that their watches exist... but still, within the value/entry price category there is pretty much nothing that compares with Orient's models. The Kamasu does the same thing that Bambino does to the dress watch category.Under any comparable aspect, it is better than its competitors... and sometimes in line with a category above. The highlights of this watch have been widely expressed by other reviewers. I would agree with all the positive ones. Unexpectedly, I'd also like to highlight the lume. Very powerful and visible even when you are in a shaded area (see my pictures... we are talking better than Luminox). On the negative side, the bracelet is just average (but not worse than what Seiko do at this price). Not surprising, but very easy to work around as you can see from my pictures. The watch can be easily paired with leather straps that recall the colour of the dial and the bezel. This watch is thoroughly recommended and I think that I will keep due to its versatility and peculiar dial, even if I own more sophisticated pieces.Talking again about the dial, for this price range it is really noteworthy. Note that as the material is reflective, it might not be to everyone's liking.

The perfect afford diver
I've wanted a Kamasu for a while now. The burgundy always stood out to me. Finally, after months of waiting, the price finally dropped and managed to snag this for a bit of a bargain. Very happy with the watch itself. Then again, I knew what I was getting. Great build quality, good materials and by a very well respected watch brand. VERY HAPPY!P.S. the dial looks as good as you think it does.
