Masterclass French (Learn French with the Michel Thomas Method)

After reading several lackluster reviews about this product decided to try it anyway. It is fast paced and assumes you've mastered the intermediate level mechanics of the language. It is full of very useful and practical everyday French. It, in fact, does go beyond the intermediate level and takes you to a greater level of refinement in spoken French. I found that it to improved my French by requiring a faster more complex response to sentences and variations to a given verb, adjective or nuance of a given topic. It improves overall comprehension.

I am a big big fan of the Michel Thomas Method and I would highly recommend his method at other levels and I wanted to take my learning with this method further on to Masterclass.Sadly I didn't find that the material added anything too new, mostly it is words and phrases Michel has already taught me in the Advanced level so I finished the 1st cd (of which there are only two) very quickly. I didn't need to pause it because the words weren't difficult. The second CD then spent a long time teaching me the words for the days of the week and the months of the year. I am sorry but any person at the advanced level will probably have already learnt these words and like me will find this a very frustrating component of the Masterclass.I am giving it 3 because I love his method and it was a good test of my skills with some new phrases but sadly not enough.

The easiest way to improve your French is with Michel Thomas method.

I've learned more through the Michel Thomas Method than I ever have from Rosetta Stone.

Michel Thomas is an absolute genius, our world needs more (a million more) people like him.This product is a must for learners who have more than average knowledge of conversational french.I found it very useful and absolutely stimulating. No doubt I willl be buying the rest of his Masterclass series.Michel Thomas, God Bless your soul..

I used this Masterclass course after using the Total French and Perfect French courses (which are great), and this one left me disappointed. In Total and Perfect, Michel Thomas takes his time to explain things and build things up at a sustainable pace, but on the Masterclass CDs he just rushes through sentence after sentence so you have to keep pausing it. And despite an important part of his teaching philosophy being a total absence of tension in the student, I found this rushed pace created tension and annoyance.I would recommend buying the Total French and Perfect French, but not really this one.

Any student who has reached fourth year level French can progress with Masterclass that is excellent for revision and progression. The Masterclass CD course with Michel Thomas is delightful. There is nothing hum-drum or exasperating about this CD course. It is to be enjoyed under the expert guidance of a master teacher.

I love learning French with Michel Thomas. I have it on my phone and listen to it when I can. Good value.

Bit let down. First cd was great with two students in the room but the second one was too far passed the first in the of level of French.

A very good course going into the intricacies of more complex French a good test and review of activitiy well worth it

Easy listening in the car or even in the background. I love this technique especially it has really helped me to understand grammar. Also very well explained.
