Buyer BEWARE!
I bought this last year. I still have an unidentified plant. Not a single pepper yet. It's starting to die now and I am not sure if I care anymore because I have almost given up all hope of the plant producing something like they described. I will update documentation later with photos of the plant and a complete evaluation. I have a background in Biology, so I should be able to determine. Extremely disappointing. I know what I ordered and I do not believe it is what was received.Update: moved outside and plant began to grow well again. The red circled one is the plant from the kit. No clue what it could be. It's had 0 flowers. In the blue circle notice how many Thai Chilies I have, and the other one is a habanero with peppers as well (can't see them in the photo). I say this because I asked them what kind of plant I got and they said it must be my fault I got a weird plant. It's not a wild weed as it was germinated indoors in a controlled environment. They must be buying very cheap seeds from China. Garbage. Save your money and buy real seeds. They are out there. This kit is trash. You get a tacky seedling pot with who knows what seeds. I'd bet they would hope someone who cannot grow plants would buy and pay others for reviews. I have since bought quality seeds. AVOID.

Highly recommend for pepper enthusiasts or the curious. Be warned though....
Bought this as an add on item with no expectations. Item came with a small batch of seeds and I planted them upon arrival. Didn’t take long for signs of growth and before I knew it I had about 8 sprouts. As they continued to grow about 4 took on significant growth while the others withered away. I replanted the 4 and 2 of them continued to grow. Once they were a few feet tall I planted them in pots on my patio and one started producing small peppers pretty quick. Before I knew it I had 12 peppers and did not know what to do with them. I harvested them and kept them in my fridge until I had the courage to try one. I figured a mail order pepper plant grown by a non-gardening fellow would not produce much heat. I was corrected quite quickly. I cut off the bottom third of a pepper and placed one seed inside before eating. At first there wasn’t much going on and the flavor was actually rather nice. After 20-30 seconds my face became numb before starting to tingle. As the symptoms progressed the sensations in my mouth were getting out of control. Snot was draining from my nose and I lost the ability to refrain from drooling. Heavy breathing and asking for help only made the situation worse as even the movement of air across the tongue was unbearable. I drank a half gallon of whole milk and 2 beers before feeling like the my journey through the pain cave was slowing down. After an hour, I was able to speak again. While I was impressed and even surprised at the strength of these peppers.... my wife has reminded me of my stupidness on a fairly regular basis. Both plants are doing well and the shorter plant continues cranking out peppers. Now I just give them poor souls at work. It took 8 months or so to produce peppers but they have been non stop ever since. These plants definitely called my bluff

Took some time to get it to grow right
I’ve had it for a few months, it isn’t growing fast at all though. I tried keeping it outside, watering it daily and nothing happened. So I brought it inside and left it in the window sill and didn’t water it for a month and it started growing finally! So I lightly water it once a month and it’s now coming along nicely. I do keep it in a room with an AC on all day, so there’s likely a lot of moisture in my room. But hopefully this can help someone else grow theirs, as the reviews say a lot of others couldn’t get it to grow either. Just set it and forget it basically. Will have to add soil soon though as it’s now half empty. Hopefully it continues to grow. It’s meant to be able to grow indoors year round it says.

the plants (x4) in the 24"x24" pot with 2/5th's sand to 1/5th clay to 2/5th's potting soil is doing the best. They've taken quit
Ok, so here's the thing. I knew that I would have some difficulty trying to grow these tropical/subtropical plants in a temperate climate (Alabama, but with the humidity, it's basically a jungle already). First off, the seeds grow. Only about 5 (found 3 dud seeds in the provided substrate, so you might get more). All to one side, mostly. This poses a problem for long term growth (what? did you think you could actually grow one IN the can?) so you need to have a plan to transplant the seedlings by the time they reach an appropriate height (roughly 1 1/2"). Out of four different soil mixtures, the plants (x4) in the 24"x24" pot with 2/5th's sand to 1/5th clay to 2/5th's potting soil is doing the best. They've taken quite some time, with only a fraction of the provided seeds surviving the transplant. Regardless, the plants that have survived are doing well and, with summer now upon us, shall soon reap terrible and glorious pain upon the hapless, ferociously handsome facehole of any a mortal man who decides to taste Dad Fighting Sauce© (soon coming to a kickstarter or something once I make a recipe, after the peppers grow)!!!Anyways, I hope this helps out anyone who orders these peppers. 3 stars because it took a lot to keep the seedlings alive and I still don't know the quality of the peppers.P.S. These seedlings love heat. Plant in a deep pot that retains heat from the day. The longer in the sun, the better. Tip your bartenders.

No green thumb needed. Very hot pepper!
As hard as it is to grow Carolina Reaper outdoors or without the perfect climate. This is the easiest kit to grow indoors. Very fun for the kids. One of the hottest peppers for those daring to try one. Easy instructions and care. Comes with a few extra seeds.
