Cheap and Convenient
I was very pleased with this rental! The company made it super easy to get and return and I could get it cheaper than anywhere else. The book was in great condition.

I love, love science
First of all, why are all of these reviews based on the service of the item? A customer review is supposed to be based SOLELY on the product itself, not its condition, not the seller, not the rental service. Amazon's review guidelines clearly state that "feedback about the seller, your shipment experience, or packaging is not a product review and should" not be a part of your product review. There are other venues for that. Here is a review on the content of the book.My interest | 5 stars: I love, love science. Any textbook based on science is something interesting to me. More specifically, I am deeply interested in anatomy and biology. I have bought many books pertaining to science, mostly for required college classes. This one was also bought for a college class.Engaging | 4 stars: The book is definitely engaging. The cover is beautiful, I enjoyed looking at the picture of a cute animal! The pictures and diagrams within the book are also engaging, and help with further understanding of the material.Ease of understanding | 5 stars: I found the book easy to understand. The titles, subheadings, diagrams, pictures, and general body of the book were easy to understand and made the intimidating facts much clearer.Index | 5 stars: I find the index, table of contents, and glossary very important features of any textbook. If I come across a difficult term, I refer to these areas of the book. If I need to study for a test, I refer to those areas. This book is great and contains all of those parts, making it easy to study from.

How could Amazon treat a loyal customer so BAD
I have purchased several books from Amazon, and for the first time I didn't choose to take the summer class so I thought I was stuck with the book. I was searching for another book for summer 2 and realized I could trade in the book. I took all necessary steps in shipping the book back, along with another book that I received already damaged but it served the purpose so I didn't mind. Can you believe the accepted the damaged book worth $5.00 and rejected the book that I had never used. I sent the book back to the the same way they sent it to me. The book never left my house. All the possitive things I have spreaded about Amazon I take back. I will without a doubt pass the word to not trust Amazon, because I no longer trust them. So its goodbye to a faithful customer.

Excellent Textbook
I purchased this book so my 10th grade son would not have to haul his Biology text back and forth from school. This does not appear to be a typical 10th grade Biology textbook; it seems more appropriate for an AP course, an opinion seconded by my college freshman son. It's very detailed, with fine illustrations and good explanations of all concepts. This is not the newest edition, but it is an excellent textbook, and was well worth the price to be certain the book is always at hand.

Take Pictures for DAMAGE
Never had a problem with renting a book before, got this one binding of book was already coming apart but the book was still usable and I desperately needed it for class. Didn't think they would charge me fully for it when they themselves sent it to me that way. Considering I've gotten way worst condition books and returned them perfectly fine with no trouble before. I'm only giving it three stars because the book was still usable even with the "damage" it had. However, if you get a book with spine damage or any other damage return it right away or take pictures with time and date stamps, otherwise your gonna lose out on a lot of money.

Horrible experience!
This review is mostly for the seller and not the product. The reason I'm giving this item 1 star (I wish I could give it 0) is because I rented this book, I forgot by a few days to return it, and when I tried to return it, they wouldn't take it back. I rented this book in the 1st place because it's a super expensive book if you buy it, it's like $150.00 for a brand new one, about $50 for a used one, but when I rented it I only paid $30. However I ended up paying $180.00 for the darn thing, which btw is not a brand new book, it's a used one and they still charged me for it as if it was new. Wouldn't they make more money if they had taken it back and kept on renting it? Now I'm stuck with a text book that I don't need, and that I'm trying to sell but no one will pay me nearly as much as this seller charged me. Thieves!

Great biology book
Great for describing complicated concepts and making them more understandable. Lots of colored diagrams and helpful images as well. This book has done a lot to help me in my college biology class. The questions at the ends of chapters are extremely helpful and have made a big impact on my exam grades; I highly recommend using the end of chapter review questions for any type of studying with this book. I myself am primarily a tactile learner and I find answering questions helps me learn the most. Great textbook!

Easy to understand.
This text is great and easy to understand for the material that it contains, but I thought it was supposed to come with the MasteringBio Lab code and it did not, so I had to purchase it for an extra $70 online, so it ended up being quite pricey, although the price I paid for the book was fairly good.
