HOSONGIN USB Guitar Cable - USB Interface Male to 6.35mm 1/4" TS Mono Electric Guitar Converter Cable (10 Ft, Black)

I bought this because I didn't want to spend $30+ to buy a replacement Real Tone cable for Rocksmith 2014 on PC. It was NOT plug and play, I had to mod my game with RSMods in order for it to work, but it was an incredibly simple process to install and set up Direct Connect for this cable. Highly recommended for this purpose, as long as you don't mind a couple extra steps to get it working.

Okay okay, where to start.. *FIRST THOUGHTS First week of trying it out, it had some troubles adapting to my computer, it would temporarily kill the connections to all USB ports. Noticed that opening control panel, sound tab, and doing the setup BEFORE plugging in helped me a lot. After a while, it magically started working. I would say don't freak out if the cable doesnt work the first time. open your control panel first, experiment, try to make it work as most systems are different. *SOUND QUALITY Yknow what, for the price especially, it aint bad at all. Got some crackle and I think that depends on the digital amp? it takes some messing around depending on what digital amps or software youre using. I personally am satisfied with it, as with the right free amps ive found online, it sounds pretty rad! There is a bit of whitenoise although it may vary for you so heads up. I took my chances with this and with the right noise gates and digital amps its perfect for my needs. Also biggest piece of advice for other rookies who will also go through the "new to digital amp" phase. please dont set your input volume on the cable to 0 in sound control panel. 50 is the perfect balance to prevent static noise and keeping your sound loud enough. *Build quality is good, really, just dont damage the cable or be reckless. its not sensitive and after repeated use and carelessly leaving it unplugged on my floor under my desk it still works like a beautiful charm. *Size is perfect actually, you might have problems if youre trying to gig with the laptop as your digital amp, in which case consider a longer cable or something outright better if youre doing actual gigs :P *Ease of use? refer to above. now it works perfect but had trouble using it at first, couple of bugs that just magically went away. *Value for money is definitely definitely above my expectations! also sorry i cant really record from a webcam so you dont see the cable plugged in.

Cord works good and has a solid build quality, sounds good and is plug and play, fits any standard usb and is as easy to install as plugging it in

The physical build quality is alright, but the sound and connectivity leaves something to be desired. The sound signal does not sound very good but it is versatile and I can use it with pretty much any computer and it fits all my guitars.

nice light cables. great fit in the usb sockets. Great price for what I received. Can't wait to wire it all into my recording system hopefully by May.
