WARNING: People seem to not research how to use it before buying. It's a good product.
Firstly, do not slip this over the dog's head! You could hurt the dog and won't get a correct fit. To properly put it on you pinch one of the links until it slides off of another one. Basically like tabs, you position it snugly right at the base of the school ensuring it won't slide around. It is supposed to go right under the base of the ears and along the dog's skull to the bottom of their jaw essentially. A lose prong collar can cause serious injuries. Now when properly used it is amazing at least from what I've seen. The only issues with it were some of the tabs were difficult to pinch to release a link. Making it hard to take off the dog. But most of the links were fairly easy so not a huge deal. The other personal problem is my 65 pound Australian shepherd with a 16" neck seems like he is in-between sizes. 3.0 gauge almost seems too much but Idk the manufacturer says that's perfect. He also has super thick fur making it hard to take off and put on sometimes. After tons of training he is an amazing dog and incredibly intelligent. His only downfall is his herding and controlling instinct. He feels the need to control anything moving and otherwise he only ever thinks about food. He would be 100 pounds off of just his regular dog food if he had his way. All that to say the only real solution that instantly stopped the bad behavior and let him focus on me, was this prong collar. I plan to use it more often as he needs it again, just for training his heel and so I can trust him. The easy lead or whatever it is called works, but is so easily broken and still doesn't have the same instant results this does. Not to mention my dog hated that product so much. He tolerates the prong collar at first and then acts like it's not even there a couple minutes later. Again I do feel like it is slightly too loose, but the results are still better than anything I could've hoped for.Just remember to learn how to properly use this TOOL safely and effectively. Also remember to use it to train your dog. It is an invaluable tool for teaching a dog that it is okay to trust and follow your lead. The very slight discomfort during this training is such a relief compared to the windpipe crushing leash pulling and constant stress levels he used to endure. Just try and make sure you get a real version and not a counterfeit.

Great for the dog
Works perfectly. It’s easy to get on and off. A great value for the price it was. I purchased one that’s a little too big, so I took a few links out of it. I’ll be able to use them when he gets a little bigger.

instant change in dog's walking-behavior
I'd give 6 stars if I could. Our new rescue dog had almost no leash manners whatsoever with a Martingale collar or a harness, but within minutes of trying this collar, she was walking like a champ. The Herm Sprenger brand offers solid, heavy duty construction, removable links and a continuous design (without a buckle). The prongs are not sharp, but shaped perfectly to keep her focus, and the design tightens evenly around her entire neck so she's not choking or hurting her trachea, etc.

Favorite Training Tool-Owner Must Use Correctly!
My absolute favorite training tool. First recommended to me by Snug Pet Resort and Academy. Distributes weight very evenly, well made, and high quality product.User error is real so please do some research and maybe even work with a trainer if you have never used before.I noticed someone else review this product saying that it took them awhile to get their dog use to “slipping collar over their head” THIS IS INCORRECT USAGE you should NEVER be able to slip collar over their head!!! This type of collar is taken on and off by the prongs. Please watch training/fitting videos!!!It is important to make sure you are sizing correctly for your dog. They do make different sizes/thickness. I like the 3mm for 50-70lb dogs that are in need of light corrections. I prefer the 4mm for even same size dogs if they are in need of more corrections or just are a bit stronger/less reactive. Had a 74lb pitty on the 4mm and a 68lb Malinois on the 3mm. If you aren’t sure what size to get do some research or check with a trainer.Remember this is a training tool. This is not a permanent collar, only used while training. And the collar isn’t a trainer, you still have to train your dog for it to work.
