Looks nice but not as functional as we hoped
This backpack looks very nice, but ... The lightweight zipper on the backpack compartment started coming apart after my husband carried it for about a week, requiring tedious care when zipping it to keep it together. The canvas exterior is sharp looking, but gathers dust badly (we were in East Africa where everything was dusty). The camera compartment was easily adjustable. The double flap over the the top compartment reveals a zippered compartment. The lower flap lifts to reveal nothing. Decorative but not useful. We're returning it.

Good at first, but quickly fell apart.
Loved this backpack at first, everything I needed at a fair price. Quickly, I had a tear on my right strap that I figured I'd just patch up eventually, wasn't a big deal. Now a few months later my entire strap has nearly torn off, almost making this unusable with the fear of the bag falling. Had high hopes but I wouldn't not purchase this again. It was good while it lasted for a month, but with a computer inside with a camera, I think it's just too much weight.Oh... and the zipper quickly broke. Attempted to fix it multiple times where I had a quick fix that made it stay together for 20 minutes, but quickly came apart again. Cheap materials used.

It ripped and just kept ripping
This ripped almost in the first day of use. I took it in a trip to china. By the time I got back and over jet lag. Time for return had expired. I didn't over load. It had my canon rebel, macro lens, telephoto lens, MacBook Pro laptop, charging cords, wallet, kindle and granola bars. I had to re-sew and sew buttons were strapes attached to keep it from ripping further. Really disappointed as I liked the way it was organized.

Bad quality. Do not buy
Do not buy. Deceptively marketed. Very small compartments and nothing is easily accessible. The top zipper broke on its 3rd use (while it was raining), which exposed the the laptop section (luckily wasn't carrying my laptop with me at the time). It's now unusable.Do not buy, overpriced and low quality

This was a bad week for bags for me
This was a bad week for bags for me. This bag would be EXCELLENT aside from one serious flaw. The computer zipper easily pulls apart when carrying my tiny MacBook Air. It won't stay shut. I made sure to keep the items in the bag at a low weight, but it still pulls apart despite everything I try.

Must have for traveling photographers!
I am going to start my review talking about the features of this bag, and I will give a full review and update after my trip to Europe in a month. My first impression of this bag, is that it is exactly what I have been looking for for the past year. For my first trip to Europe, I purchased a larger shoulder bag, and quickly realized it was very hard to maneuver with, and also very heavy on only one shoulder. For my last trip to Europe, I purchased a smaller shoulder bag, that looked more like a purse (so people wouldn't think it was a camera, and try and steal it). It literally broke my first day there. My first day. So that leads to the purchase of the backpack. I initially didn't want a backpack because I thought it would be too obvious and too bulky, however, after finding this one I changed my mind. For starters, it does NOT look like a camera bag, which is very important to me. It is a very attractive bag, and the material is very sturdy! I like the fact that the camera portion is seperate from the top, so I can use the top to hold my phone and wallet while I'm using it. A lot of the bags I looked at only carried the camera, and I did not like that at all. There are also plenty of pockets, to hold anything my heart desires, and two of the pockets are rubber and waterproof (we all know where my passport is going! Don't want to ruin that!) There is also a strap on the side to hold a tripod (which was a must have for me). The arm straps are very padded, and very comfortable, and I will update how they do after hours of wear. I read a few people had a problem with the zipper on the laptop part of the bag, and my zipper does not seem to be affected. I doubt I will carry my laptop with me much, but it seemed to be just fine. The camera portion of the bag is roomy, and fits my Canon t3i, 3 lenses and my speedlite easily. I had to adjust some of the partitions, which was extremely easy. They feel very safe in there, and I fully trust this bag protecting my prized possession. I will give an update after my trip, so I can be 100% honest with you, and anyone interested in this product know exactly how it holds up! So far I am very very pleased with this purchase, and cannot wait to put it to use. It is a very nice bag!UPDATE:I took this bag with my on my 12 day trip around Europe, and I CANNOT say enough good things about it!! My husband even brought up how awesome this bag is! We wore it for roughly 8 hours per day (switching off occasionally), and it was extremely comfortable, the straps didn't dig into my shoulders at all. All the padding is in all the right places. It also held up in 2 rain storms, and it is absolutely waterproof, all the content remained dry the entire time. I was soaked, but my camera and iPad were dry as could be! I had no problems with zippers (i saw other people had problems with the zippers). I have already recommended this bag to some of my photographer friends. I LOVE this bag. I would 100% recommend it to anyone, it is worth every penny.
