Reasonable for the price with a few shortcomings
After a few months I no longer use this for most things. The problem, and the reason I changed my rating from 3 to 2 stars, is that apps that place user controls at the very top, or bottom of the screen become unusable because of how the tablet decides if it should display the system controls. Netflix is a good example. As soon as you try to use application controls at the top or bottom of the screen, the system shows the hidden controls and renders the apps controls unavailable. With other tablets you have to drag the controls into view. With this tablet simply touching the top or bottom of the screen causes them to pop into view.If they could fix this I would keep using the tablet, but if I want to use Hulu or Netflix I have to use another device. And switching devices to do common things is just annoying. It is a reasonable device. The screen size is exactly the same as my Fire-HD 10, but not quite as crisp due to the mat finish. The different size bezels means I have not yet found a cover that works with it. Android 8 is good and the response is fairly snappy, but there are some quirks that appear to be related to the touch screen, namely it requires a longer and/or firmer presses than my phone or Amazon tablet. That took a bit of getting used to.The tablet does not provide all the standard apps you expect from an Android device, namely I had to download the Chrome browser, Google Play (not Google Play Store), and G-board. The tablet does include a web browser but it required permission I thought were unreasonable, my contact list specifically, for a web browser. The launcher has some issues, an empty area at the top of the home screen will not let you put icons or widgets there, and there are fewer rows and columns of icons than I expected. One really annoying UI aspect is how hard it is to create or add to a folder. The UI just doesn't want you to do it. It can be done but there appears to be no rhyme or reason for when it allows you to versus when it will not. All these were fixed with the "Nova" launcher. After two weeks it appears to be worth the money. I will update this review after 6 months if I have a different opinion.

Works better than Expected
Back in January 2018, I bought a fire 10 tablet. It failed in January 2019 – Amazon didn’t care. I decided to get the Alldocube M5S which also recently failed. The Alldocube staff cared a lot – unlike other providers they didn’t tell me to power up / power down / try it outside where the lights better / take out the battery and pirouette three times / etc. They said send it back and we’ll replace it. They did. Service that adds value to the product. But to the machine – it’s a budget tablet. As such it should be evaluated based on what it is. You can see the plus and minuses in the other reviews here. On the minus side – battery life is low, glass needs to be protected or she’ll scratch, takes a long to charge, on the home screen the top row don’t let ya put stuff, and the screen isn’t very bright. On the plus side Android 8.0 release is well ahead of other budget tabs, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB Flash mem gives a bunch of power, NO BLOAT INCLUDED, Play Store isn’t blocked, supports a T-Mobile SIM card for cell service. Haven’t come across anything it can’t handle.I’d buy again.

Good cheap tablet with some software fixes
Great tablet for the money. Nice screen once I fixed it - see below. Decent performance. Takes sd card and 2 sim cards. There are a few issues I was able to fix with software. The worst issue was that the screen was not very bright and a bit muddy. The brightness slider in the notification pane did literally nothing - it looked the same no mater where you set it. I installed Power Shade, a third party notification window and the brightness slider in it worked! And I could set it bright enough so the whites were white and the colors were no longer muddy! Next up, the interface was weird, the icon spacing was bad, and you couldn't put icons on the top couple of lines for some odd reason. Nova launcher to the rescue! Last problem is the touchscreen isn't great. You need to type slow and deliberately or it will miss letters. But it's fine for browsing or watching media.

Not for me...
I had high expectations for this tablet. I wanted to replace my Amazon Fire 10, but after getting it, I realized how great my Amazon tablet is so, I returned it for a refund after it started crashing 3 days into using it. Comes with screen guard (which was nice). Screen is very dull tho...even at full brightness, was still not clear or bright enough in certain lighting. I did like the build (minus the SD card access area) I'm not even sure what to call it... Had to remove a long flat piece to get access to SD card slot /sim card slots. It was not easy to remove, thought I was going to break it. And I could find NOTHING about it in the manual. I'm happy with my Fire 10 for now. Return & refund process was quick and easy. I'd buy from this seller again.

not 10.1 inch but good tablet
I didn't immediately take this out of the box to measure it until it was way to small in my previous tablet's 10.1-inch case. That led me to pull out the tape measure!you can see the true measurements in the pictures. I'm having a hard time finding a case for this because of it.other than that though I love that it can connect to 5ghx wifi, my other one couldn't so it caused it to run super slow. loud speakers, unlike my last one. I have no complaints, other than false advertising. I'm 99% sure I previously left this review but then it disappeared. hope they are not just deleting reviews that arent 5 stars!

Still can't figured how to install and configured a new MicroSD Card in this ALLDOCUBE
The quick guide is a joke. 30 minutes into this new ALLDOCUBE M5XS Tablet PC, 10.1 inch and I still can't figured how to install and configured a new MicroSD Card. It took me 10 minutes to figured how to open the back component to insert the MicroSD Card and 30 minutes later and I still can't get this 64 gig MicroSD Card to work. Can you create a Youtube video and show us how to insert and Remove the MicroSD Card in this ALLDOCUBE M5XS Tablet PC, 10.1 inch.
