Nice lil meter
Bought it to play around with hardware hacking, and it works great for that purpose. Affordable and gets the job done.

Good inexpensive way to measure hFE for gain matching your transistors
I needed a way to gain match a large batch of transistors but couldn't afford one of the expensive tools. This was perfect. The price didn't break the bank. The unit did a great job measuring hFE on all the transistors. I didn't test how well/accurate the rest of the functions are. I just needed it for hFE - awesome for that. Since it was really easy to use for my case, I remeasured all the components several times (needed to be precise). The measurements were consistent.

Great value
This small multimeter works well and is accurate (as compared to a Fluke). It has many features, such as transistor tester. The large digit display is a good feature. The test leads are short and the ends don't always make good contact. New leads are not expensive and these are standard banana type that can be easily replaced if needed.

For the money is a great all around multimeter
Will is a $9 great bussy to have in the toolbox or truck for anyone. No excuses. The display is very big and easy to read it has all the common functions and more. I have not used the square wave generator and is a nice to have that will probably never use, so yes I really do not care if it is not a perfect 5vpp square wave. The accuracy I can not talk about much, is not what I bought this for. That said I can tell you, for what is worth, is 1 mv in the 20v scale off Commercial Electric one, see pic. Leads are interchangeable and standard size which is a plus for this pricepoint. Buy it and you will not regret it.

Super clear display and outstanding value
Just ordered a second one. No gimmicks, just a super readable display and a very clear selector. Perfect at 3 times the price

Basic Multimeter Done Right!
I was looking to pick up a new multimeter for around the house to replace a cheap Cen-Tech meter i got that died on me. I noticed many very similar looking models in this price range, but this one stood out to me due to the color coding. I can not tell you how much better it is to have the front panel of the multimeter fully color coded as it lets you switch to the setting you need much more easily and quickly while taking measurements. Also it was a pleasant surprise that it had a English manual with pictures of the functions that was actually readable. So far I have only used the voltage and resistance test on it, but they both appeared to be spot on and worked as expected. I was also impressed by some of the extra functions this meter had compared to the others specifically the square wave signal function. Not to mention this DOES have a built in speaker for audible continuity which my previous did not and I consider that a must have on any multimeter. I would definitely recommend this for the price as it easily beats the competition.

Does a lot for an inexpensive multimeter
I have several multimeters. I only had one that could test transistors and another one that used sound when testing for continuity. My transistor testing multimeter went bad so I picked out this one and was surprised that it had sound for continuity testing that only my most expensive multimeter has. The main thing I needed this for was for testing transistors and it worked. Having the sound is a bonus I didn't expect which means I may be using this more often since it's 1/3 the size of my other multimeter with sound.

More like a Multi-meh-ter
The PDM-711 is just OK. It's not awful. And it is cheap. The leads are stiff and fairly short. According to my oscilloscope, the square wave generator doesn't work at all. That's not a killer thing for me as I didn't even know it had such a thing until I got it. But still, weird it doesn't work. Comparing it to other meters, it doesn't seem particularly accurate, which is a concern for me. How am I supposed to rely on it? The HFE tester does work - although you really have to stick the pins way in there to make contact. One of the biggest failings is that the instructions are terrible - and for features like the HFE and square wave, that matters. I'm not saying it is useless. I'm not fully saying it is broken. It's just not very good. I'm not expecting a $10 device to work like a $100 device or even a $30 one, but if you don't feel it is accurate enough to rely on then what's the point?
