... Count is a short book to read and I like that there isn't a bunch of filler fluff
Make Today Count is a short book to read and I like that there isn't a bunch of filler fluff. The author is frank and to the point about taking a hard look at what you do on a daily basis because it predicts your future success or failures. One of my favorite quotes from the book that illustrates this is: "Good decisions today will give you a better tomorrow."At the end of the chapter were three short questions to hone in on your goal in that area and a question on how to improve on a daily basis. I read this book in my early twenties the first time and each time after that I get something new from it. The chapter on growth was one of my favorites. It was the first time I read about someone having a personal growth plan and setting growth goals. There were several actionable ideas I was able to glean from it and recommend it to others trying to improve a variety of areas of their lives from relationships, to spirituality, to career, to values, to health, etc.

Gets straight to the point quickly. Excellent for daily reading.
This book is small in size, but powerful in its practical information. I'm reading in this book every day even after I've finished the complete book. It is small enough to carry with you wherever you go (6 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 1/2) .He gives suggestions on prioritizing what you think and do, giving excellent examples that provide information and motivation for change or continuing habits. Here are a few I picked at random: in the chapter on FAMILY: "Express appreciation for each other." "Resolve conflict as quickly as possible."Chapter on THINKING: "Recognize There Are Many Kinds of Thinking." In that chapter a subheading is "MANAGING THE DISCIPLINE OF THINKING" one of which is: "Set Aside Think Time Every Day."And so forth. Even if you only read one chapter or only the headings you would experience some benefit, but I think a reader would benefit from reading every chapter over and over because the purpose is to change our thinking and habits.
