Just started reading and I have to stop and say a couple of things: 1. There are no page numbers and that is annoying when you want to reference something; 2. HUGE SAFETY ISSUE- I am assuming a misprint on page 6? "(You will always add the water to the lye, not the other way around)". WRONG!!!! ALWAYS ADD LYE TO THE WATER! The author states this in reverse ( and correctly) later in the book so I am assuming the misprint. Hope this helps!

Good ideas and clear instructions

Ok at best. For some reason this book was free, after trying to read the poorly written instructions I can see why. It does have a lot of recipes in it and some of them are good, but given the quality of the writing I would not trust any of the lye quantities with verifying them.

Good book. Great Book. Lots of valuable information for a new do it yourselfer. I love to learn new things and this is something that I really want to learn more about. I want to stop using chemicals and getting more into natural ingredients.

Everything you need to know about soaping. They have tons of recipes and a starting point for those that wish to start a soap business. I am extremely pleased with this book.GREAT INVESTMENT!!!!

Been doing cold process. Now I want to try hot process. The recipes look so tempting but I have not mastered cold process yet.

Great book but not a single color photo no idea how to learn.

My family made these for small Christmas stocking gifts this year. We all enjoyed them.

I remember that the grandmother of a friend of mine used to make her own soap, many years ago now, and I have often wondered how people go about doing it. This book takes the reader through the whole process, starting with the equipment that you will need, and then paying serious attention to the safety aspects of it all. Then we have the recipes themselves, with soaps of various fragrances being the result.All in all a fine introduction to the hobby of soap making.

Lots of recipes. Downside is that there are no pages numbers. The book is fairly thick so pages numbers would certainly help.
