![Yu-Gi-Oh!: Movie - Capsule Monsters, Part 1 [DVD]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91n2aKeJ-lL.jpg)

Saving the world from destruction week after week is not an easy task, so when Joey wins an exotic trip for four, Yugi and his friends decide to take a much needed vacation or so they think! Before reaching their destination, their plane crash-lands in a deserted forest. Here in a remote area thousands of miles from Egypt lies a great pyramid that contains an incredible secret - a portal to another dimension! The World of the Capsule Monsters!" It's a battle for survival as Yugi trades in his Duel Disk for a Capsule Shooter in a life-threatening challenge that is so much more than just a game!" Review: Best Yu-Gi-Oh ever! - Capsule Monsters is one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh fimls ever. Yugi and co. are flying to India when their plane crashes in the forest. Egear as ever, Tristan and Joey march of into the jungle dragging a unhappy tea and Yugi behind them. They find a man who claims that Yugi's gradfarther is missing and leads them to a prymid were Yugi's gradfarther was last seen. Joay as usuall, gets into trouble by stepping on a map which transports him to another world. Yugi and the others soon follow. Yugi and co. then find themselves battling for their lives as they must overcome 5 tests in order to return home. I recommand this to any Yu-Gi-Oh fan, and to anyone who wants a good action anime movie. Never a dull moment, and Yugi looks REALLY cool when he combines with his monsters!!;) Review: Anime Perfection - This anime is amazing. The pacing is perfect. The story is perfect. The characters--well you know the characters. The puzzles are great. The only tiny thing missing was Kaiba. As much as the original series was super fantastic wonderful, this one takes it up a notch. I rented it and now I'm buying two copies. I'm floored by what a good job they did. The theatrical release has nothing on this. This is what should have been in the movies. This is good. Buy it. Watch it a dozen times. If you like Yu-Gi-Oh you will love this.

Most definitely not a movie...
Well, even though it's 90 minutes long, it is most definitely not a movie... it's more like an extended episode. The animation is not that of what I would consider a feature length film to be, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie was much much better in the animation department and ran much smoother than the stuff aired on TV. This just looks like another episode on TV... which, for the most part, was relatively decent. The story-line moves at a blistering pace, which seems to take some of the fun out of discovering a whole new world, which is where the "Capsule Monster" series is based. Yugi and his pals seem to figure out how everything works a lot quicker than they should have, as they pretty much master the use of their capsule monsters by the time we're half-way through the film, leading up to a rather lackluster climax at the end, if it can be called an "end" or not. The ending is not really an ending at all, it is left wide open for the rest of the Capsule Monster series to take place, which will be aired on US television later in '06, and is already being aired in other English speaking countries. Overall, if you're a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan, than this is a no-brainer... you have to own it. And for a price of under $10, it's a real bargain! I honestly can't wait to see the other episodes when they air on TV. My review may have sounded a little harsh, but I was expecting this to be a film that would be able to not only be mostly stand-alone, but would also add to the Capsule Monster story. I guess I was expecting too much? Anyways, a great buy for any Yu-Gi-Oh! fan.

At least the animation was really good.
The product description on Amazon say's that this movie has English & Japanese Languages. Because of that I assumed there was a subtitled-Japanese Language option. Nope. It just has the awlful Saturday morning cartoon dub by 4Kids. Big let down. Oh, well. At least the animation was really good.

No japanese audio
There actually no Japanese audio. I bought just for that so I can listen to difference between english and Japanese audio. I wish I knew it from the start. I'm kind of disappointed.

Capsule Monsters was actually a mini series, 12 episodes long, not a movie. This DVD covers the first 6, except some parts have been taken out, and not all of them were put into the deleted scenes. But it was still enjoyable to watch.

This DVD is a must have for any fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! It has a really good story, and is a nice filler arc in-between the main seasons.
