The Colour Monster Board book – 14 Jun. 2018

The media could not be loaded. This book is a good tool for helping young children understand and express their emotions whilst having the fun of reading a book. The illustrations are vibrant and engaging, and the simple language makes complex feelings easy to grasp. My daughter who is 4 can now accurately describe her feelings through colours, which I can understand.The book it’s self is a board book so sturdy and less likely for kids to rip pages etc (great for younger children). It is also small enough to tuck in a bag for travel. There is also a pop out book available which was the one I thought I was buying however that was my error.

A brilliant little book that helps younger children identify and understand their emotions and gives them the language to name how they are feeling. It’s been really helpful for us to read at bedtime after tricky days and is always enjoyed. Definitely a family favourite, highly recommend for 2-4 year olds.

My daughter has this book in paperback and there are two pages edited out of this version which I was really annoyed about. I bought this to use in my work with 2-4 year olds knowing it’s a wonderful book and was disappointed at the omission. However, it’s still a great tool for teaching about emotions and a lovely sturdy item and great size for small hands.

Bought this book for my granddaughter. Lovely book about emotions.
