Great product
I LOVE this product! I was skeptical at first because you could just clean your bearings in a glass or metal container, but after trying this product, I realize that it makes it so much easier, efficient, and faster to clean my bearings. All of my bearings fit perfectly on the screw. I used Acetone as the solvent, shook the bottle with my bearings locked tight on the rod, took it out, dried the bearings with a compressed air can, put 2 drops of Bones speed cream, and it's perfect. Instructions came with the product, so you won't be clueless on your first cleaning. It's definitely worth the $!

Versatile And Effective
The Bone's Bearing Cleaning Unit simplifies the process of bearing cleaning until it becomes streamlined, fast, and efficient. All you do is remove one side of shields on your bearings, and then line them up through the bolt in the middle of the cap while alternating the bearings with the given spacers. Then, you simply cap it with the metal piece, fill the bottle with alcohol and cap it, shake for as long as you want, uncap the bottle, remove the bearings, and replace the shields. Simpler done than said, but effective none the less. Also, the container can be used to carry other small skates gear and parts, saving you space in your pack. Overall, an amazing product with simple versatility.

Worth the money
For those who roller skate, instead of board, you'll need a different wrench, but other than that? This kit is a good deal.Yes, you can build your own bearing shaker bottle, but this is a DENSE small bottle and, although a carriage bolt would have been a better choice than a fully-threaded bolt, it would be tough to build a better DIY version. The puller works for bearings that don't need a tap with a drift (and how can you fault the puller for stuck bearings?). I've pulled 64 bearings and the thing works like brand new. About ten of those were stuck and I yanked on a couple to get them out with the puller (before switching to a drift). The reason I switched wasn't a broken puller -- it was sore fingers. And who can say anything bad about Speed Cream?

Excellent cleaning tool for your bearings
Unless you have spare parts to build one yourself for free, this is an excellent cleaning tool for your bearings. Easy to use. My bearings have not been cleaned in years, but also my board has been used rarely (less than 5 times per year). The bearings had a decent/fair roll to them before cleaning, now they roll almost forever on one push! Here is my method I used to clean:Tools-floor bike pump (substitute for compressed air)isopropyl alcohol 91%Bones speed cream1. load up bearings without the shields, bearing balls facing up.2. fill a little less than 1/3 91% isopropyl alcohol. (did not want to waste and really did not need a full 1/3)3. close and shake for 30 seconds, open and spin bearings. repeat this step a few times until bearings seem free from dirt when spinning.4. dump and refill bottle a little less than 1/3 91% isoprople alcohol. close and shake again. alcohol in bottle should be clear.5. use floor pump with attached exercise ball nozzle tip to blow into bearings to dry and remove any excess debris.6. once bearing is dry, apply 2 drops speed cream onto ball bearing side. spin bearing a few times.7. reinstall shields. This method should get 90-95% clean. This is my first time cleaning the bearings. Maybe if I had compressed air can and rinsed the bearings until all debris can not be detected when spinning them. I personally don't need to get them 100% clean for my uses so this method is sufficient for me.

Simple design, does the job
I recently needed to clean the 16 bearings on my quad skates. Several bearings weren't spinning freely. I used 91% Isopropyl alcohol as the cleaning solvent. I followed the instructions by filling the container to 1/3 and shaking. The bearings came out clean and I used Bones Speed Cream Skate Bearing Lubricant before I remounted them. The bearings now spin freely and are quieter. I also noted a speed difference as well.To the users that rated this low because there was no solvent, please read the description thoroughly. It says:* "Includes directions. solvents not included"The cleaning kit is simple, but it does the job. Some of you could probably make your own cleaning unit for less but time is money. I, personally, would rather spend my time actually cleaning my bearings than making my own cleaning kit.Pros:* Container is sturdy and should hold up well.* Perfect size for fitting 8 bearings with the spacers, while conserving solvent.* Seals pretty well when shaking with solvent.* Has everything needed (except solvent) to clean 8 bearings at a time.* Helpful instructions.Cons:It could be a little cheaper - but it works as it should.

Great tool just not what i expected.
When i purchased this item I was thinking it was going to come with the solution needed to clean the bearings. Although it did not come with any solution it came with directions that explained what to use and what not to use. I ended up using alcohol to clean mine and it worked out great. The bottle makes it easy to thoroughly clean the dirt and grime out of a dirty bearing. For anyone looking to buy this item just understand it is only a bottle, no solvent included. Another thing is deont forget to buy speed cream to re lube your bearings after a good cleaning.
