I did quite a bit of research and many sites referred this to be one of the best straighteners on the market for the price...... I either received a defective straightener or it's not that great...I have pretty straight hair as it is so after hair blow drying I run a straighter through it to bring down the frizz and volume. This straightener didnt get very hot so it took me twice as long as my GVP straightener I usually use and I'm still pretty frizzy.

I’ve used a Chi for 12 years... just now having problems with it. The salon Professional straighter was not too impressive. I tried every setting and decided to return it because it was not able to do half the job my Chi did. In fact it was actually worse than my 12 year old Chi with problems. Turns out the company will take $6 out of your refund for returning it as well. Better than me wasting $75 keeping the straightener. I would not recommend this product.

Love the way it glides thru my hair

I have used an FHI straightener for years and when mine finally died, I decided to try this one because it was a little cheaper. It works decent but for my type of hair, it just didn't work as well. I will be selling this and buying another FHI. If you want a good quality straightener, you have to pay a little more.

Bought this product after recommended by a friend and yes she is absolutely right!!! Salon Sleek Pro Straightener was delivered with an amazing packaging. The Digital temperature display design is very innovative and best in the market The different heat settings makes sure that you don't have to hold your hair while straightening and also the best part is it does not tangle the hair. The plates heat up very fast and don't have to wait for hours like before. It's also very light and handy and works great for all hair types. Skin research Institute came up with an amazing product which can be used forever without spoiling our beautiful hair and I would highly recommend this product.

The heating plates are nice and slick, allowing the hair to glide easily as you pull down the section of hair. The corners of the plates do not snag or catch on my hair as my most recent professional flat iron would. I also like the slight flair at the tip of the flat iron. This makes it easier to grab with the other hand without getting too close to the hot plates. However, it is advertised as quick to heat up. I was surprised it took 30+ seconds to reach 450 degrees, compared to my 5 year old flat iron, which hits 450 degrees in 6 seconds. I do like the placement of the control settings, inside the jaws, on the same flat surface the plates sit. It would be practically impossible to accidentally touch the controls and turn it off or change the temperature, which I have done on other flat irons with their controls on the outside. It would be nice to have a cloth pouch to slip it in when traveling. I have my old pouch that came with my last flat iron, but it would be a nice gesture to have one included. I usually am packing it before it is totally cooled down and slipping it into a pouch makes me feel safer. I have used this iron for 2 weeks now. I am very happy with it. I gave the product 5 stars. It would be perfect if it would heat up in 6 seconds. This iron is far better than one purchased off the shelf of a big box store. I bought 3 total and gave my two daughters each one just this week.
