All good proper review 10 outta ten
Extension from router through house under floor boards and loft back down to kitchen ran wire under all cabinets round back of cooker into wall and out to this great box looks fab doesnt it. I added backing box as only wanted to havd to drill small hole for the cable.I used an old lead to make a short extension and a joiner coupling to the 100ft cable I routed around the house.I fitted the cable I made directly to the rear of the socket with ease it was easy but had to use the picture from amazon so I could see the colours properly as I'm a bit blind lol.Simple my daughter could put it together pushing wires to the clips no different to a phone fixing. The socket tidied up my wife's office area in our dining room I got fed up of a 100ft lan cable routing all over the house on the floor and doors couldn't be shut so I fitted this socket and routed cable as I mentioned all around the house hidden now and my wife is having no connection issues so I'm a happy man as no moaning wife.Happy days...10 outta 10 for this productI prefer to comment on how it is a proper review rather than reviews about colour or similar its a good product and works well even when I've added a coupling joint all good.Drop mic to the floor duffff and walks off stage like Michael Jackson on steroids yey!

Does exactly what it was bought for.
Fiddly to install, but that is applied to any data socket.Does not connect well to data plugs - bit wobbly and not secure.Does the job.

Tabs needed a trim but otherwise pleased
Just what I needed. The back of the plate had some plastic tabs stopping it from being flush with the wall. A quick snip solved this and it installed nicely. When I installed I followed option B on the colour scheme which is the more recent cable configuration.

fell apart when inserting network cable
The media could not be loaded. After wiring up and testing with a cable tester, screwed the faceplate into the pattrass box. Then plugged the cable in again and into the PC which said 'no internet'. Unplugged cable and heard a rattling. Unscrewed the faceplate to find the whole assembly had popped apart and was no longer connecting properly. Thought it was a one off so re-assembled. Plugged in cable and heard a clunk as the plastic assembly popper apart again. Ordering a different product from CableMonkey. Currently having to use with the bits lying on the floor so I can pop them back together. Will be returning for refund once my Cablemonkey order has arrived. Also note that you need a magnifying glass to read the labelling on the connector points. The A/B labelling is confusing. When most network cables are B - it would be better to leave the A legend off.

Works fine - little ugly
Works absolutely fine, just worth noting it’s a little more chunky (and ugly) than a standard UK socket facing.

Comes apart
These were rather flimsy, one came apart during installation.
