This is by far the best resource I have found for women's uniforms in the waves in world war II.

The book is outstanding. It is the most thoroughly presented historical tome I have seen on the topic. What's best of all, is it is filled with incredible colour photos that makes every page turned, visually exciting. Bravo Zulu, Sir.No for the administrative criticism of Amazon: this is a very expensive book and it was shipped to me without any shrink wrap covering and no padding inside the box. As a result, it was scratched and dented. I was forced to go through the replacement process and received another shipped exactly the same way with exactly the same resulting damage.

Excellent reference book. I am a member of the USS Drum/USS Alabama Living History crew. This book has been invaluable for putting together my impressions in the right way. I recommend it highly.

This is the best uniform reference book I currently own, it is terribly thorough and wonderful pictures. Highly recommended.

Had a lot of good information in it

what a great book...have got a bunch of my uncle's old WWI and WWII uniforms, ribbons, medals, ruptured ducks, discharges, promotion paperwork, et al and this reference was great...also have the other volume which is equally well written...well done to the author of both.
