The best pocket knife ever
This is the best pocket knife ever...so small & yet has everything you could possibly need in something that's a third of the size of a biro. The blade on mine is still razor sharp 3 years later & if I needed to butcher a large cow it'd take a while. The bottle opener with posi-head srewdriver has been handy The nail file I must admit I've not used much except to use the flat head screw head to leaver stuff off & repair things. Scissors/nail clippers still very sharp Pen... tiny & you'd run out of ink if you needed to write a novel Torch... rubbish in the daytime as you'd expect but bloody handy when it gets dark. If you're planning on scaling Everest to write a novel on wire stripping & may encountering large beasts which you're going to need to defend yourself from.. then this isn't the swiss army knife I'd recommend. BUT if you need a handy little multi-tool whilst sipping your latte it's perfect.

Versatile pocket multi tool for everyday life.
Exactly as described, usual Victorinox quality, a pen a small torch ideal for locating door locks, items dropped on carpets etc, bottle opener, small flat and small Phillips screwdrivers, perfect for adjusting spectacles or securing leads on desktop computers. A nail file, scissors a small knife and a notch that can strip small Insulated cables. The button for the torch operation isn't recessed but it does require a firm press so hopefully less likely to be turned on accidentally in a pocket or bag. The whole unit is compact and contained in a well finished highly polished handle, there is a small spring clip for attaching to a key ring. The enclosed leaflet states that a small tooth pick is provided but it wasn't present in my box? However as there isn't a recess to store a tooth pick or tweezers it doesn't seem important. If my past experience of Victorinox pocket knives is to be trusted then I look forward to many years of use.

Quirky little knife and tool.
A brilliant little tool, for every day carry and use. As always with Victrinox well made and exactly as described.

My only permanent everyday carry multi-tool knife. Love this thing!
As a working musician this is my main personal carry multitool. I play guitar, so the fingernail grooming aspects are really handy. The small blade is perfect for opening packages and boxes. I use the scissors all the time for cutting thread off my clothes and tags off of new items. When I gig, having a small torch in my pocket is super handy. I also use the small pen for signing invoices when I enchange cash at the end of the night. The bottle opener and screwdrivers are handy for small maintenance jobs on my music gear and I also use the flathead on the end of the file for scraping and can work well for tightening lager crosshead (yes crosshead) screws. I attached a discreet black Victorinox lanyard to the keyring and it lives in the small '5th' pocket in my jeans. If you want more stability when writing with the pen, fold out the bottle-opener/crosshead screwdriver to rest between your thumb and index finger. Such a handy little thing. I've lost track how many times I use it a day! Several at least. A great investment!

Well made, useful, smart. Perfect to carry every day
Little handy companion that is well made and well designed. First, it looks good and does not get bad looks as if was a vicous knife. Good thing for an every-day-carry thing. The tools are well made, the blade is small but is enough to open packages or slicing an apple, the combo bottle-opener and screwdriver is thick and feels sturdy, the scissors are not a toy and will cut well (can even trim you fingernails). Special mention for the pen, very easy to deploy and to write with: open the nail file and will fit even better in the hand. The light is small, but bright enough to light up where you're walking or to help opening a door in complete darkness (i.e. a garden gate). A nice product, well made. Not a toy, as you'd expect from Victorinox. It's not cheap, but after two years it's still perfectly working, also the blade is easy to re-sharpen.

Very nice set.
I have the greatest respect for the Victorinox company. I have a large number of their products This is a very nice set. A word about the battery. They supply one with it (an SR1130, with 165 mAh), and the battery door is supplied open, for convenience. I have a large collection of button batteries, and I decided to see whether any of them would fit this knife. The answer is yes: just make sure that it is 1.5 Volt and not 3.00 Volt - that might burn out the bulb, which you would not be able to replace. As long as it is 1.5 Volt and of the right diameter and thickness, you are in business. I used an LR1130, which is only about 1/3 of the price of the SR1130; it has a lower mAh of 110, but it will probably last quite a while. The light isn't going to be on a lot. Getting the battery door open. This puzzled me for a while, but the supplied leaflet has the answer. There is a little hole on the side opposite the door. You poke the end of a straightened paper clip into the hole, and the door opens. Another triumph!

Excellent except for parts
I use this item daily and it's fantastic, sadly the battery cover fell off and I have been told I cannot buy a replacement but instead have to send the whole item to Switzerland for 6 months. Highly frustrated

The most useful knife ever
I already have this knife, but it is so useful I wanted another handy in case I lose it. The Phillips screwdriver has been useful for a multitude of small tasks, as has the flat headed driver. The torch has a bright white light and the button battery is easily and ingeniously changed. I have a pack of button batteries of the correct size ordered from Amazon quite cheaply, so resupply is easy. The knife, scissors and file are also in use daily and the pen has also proved handy for those odd occasions when you need to write a number (palm of the hand is my standby!) or sign off something when a pen is not handy. The big advantage of this knife is that it is light and easy to fit in the pocket. It's there, but you don't feel it. Best knife I have ever owned - strongly recommended.
