UVR is present in sunlight. Sunburn is one sign that your skin has been exposed to too much UVR. Overexposure to UVR over many years can cause more serious health problems such as skin cancers or cataracts. Clothing that is sensibly designed for sun protection reduces your UVR exposure. The Ultraviolet Protection Factor(UPF) rating shows how well a fabric protects your skin from solar UVR and lets you select sun protection clothing with confidence. UPF ratings range from 15 to 50. Fabrics rated higher than 50 are labelled as UPF 50+. Remember that a garment only protects the skin it covers, so protect your head, face and exposed skin by wearing a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen and make use of shaded outdoor areas.

Beautiful hat for children
Totally adorable, and reversible too. My daughter wore this hat for a solid week on a recent beach vacation, and she didn't complain at all. She wore it in the sun, in the pool, and just about everywhere. She looked cute and the hat stayed put on her head pretty well. There is a chin strap with a sliding rubber piece that cinches it under her chin. This is far better than the ties that are on most childrens hats, and I didn't worry as much about it choking her if the hat went off the back of her head because the slide could be moved with a moderate effort.

Love these hats!
Love these hats!! They work great in protecting my daughter's head in this Arizona sun. I bought several. She is 19 months old with a head size in the 70th percentile, she needed the 2-5 year old size. This won't last her until she is 5 as it seems to run small but should last a couple years, I hope!

Girls Happy Flower Sun Hat !!
This little girls hat was Perfect in every way. The size was just like they described it and it fit perfectly.All the stitching on the brim is great...makes it very sturdy. Overall I can't think of anything that would makeit better....Our granddaughter loves it and never wants to take it off...thats the best review you can get....Thank YouColleen D.

Love the Milly Mook Brand
A very cute hat. Love the Milly Mook Brand. Reversable and has a really nice adjustable strap. My daughter leaves it on. The brim is wide enough for protection but stiff enough so she can play and see. It's even ok when it gets wet.

Perfection!
So cute! Fits perfectly on my 18-month old (95th percentile head size) and stays in place! Can remove the strap easily. Dries quickly.

Hat has a baby blue background, not white as the photo reflects. Also, the hat definitely doesn't cover the back of the neck, so be sure to lather up the sunscreen!

Very nice
I like the draw string vs a velcro tie as velcro is too rough on young toddlers especially. My 18 month old loves this hat because of this!

Good but small
This hat looks exactly as pictured. I actually like the solid inside with one small flower better than the print. The strap is easy to adjust, stays where you set it, and holds the hat on well in windy beach conditions. We bought this because we thought it might last more than one season, but it won't. It fit my 2.5 yr old great (average size head) this spring and summer, but it is pretty snug now, at the end of summer. We have already bought a different, larger hat for next year (and hopefully the year after that).
