Great item for RVs
Works great for my fifth wheel. Most trailers can only handle about 60psi water pressure and the cheap pressure regulator is stock built at 45psi. Even at that, most campgrounds don't have the greatest water pressure to keep up with demand so the cheap regulator is really reducing pressure to the 30's.Being adjustable, this regulator is able to keep the pressure in the 40's and 50's at my current campground. If a campground had better water pressure, I suspect I could hover around 55psi (to be safe) without any issue. This is obviously easy to install, just place in line with your water hose. Also easy to adjust, just need a flat head screwdriver. Definitely worth the extra cost to add water pressure.

So much better
So much better than those basic ones. A pressure regulator came with my RV, it was just one of those simple ones that was pre-adjusted. We kept on having problems with water pressure in our RV. We would have weak water pressure coming out of a faucet but if another faucet was turned on and then off again that water pressure would increase in the first faucet. With this one we have constant water pressure at whatever setting we have it set at. Works great and very easy to adjust. I also bought one of those right angle adapters so this wasn't sitting out so far

Works well with lots of flow volume. Had a pin hole leak develop after three months and they sent me a new one right out, no questions asked.

Cracked in 2 Months!!
This is a precision made regulator unlike other products available in the marketplace. The male and female threads are well cut and it does not leak, even when only hand tightened. It includes a washer/strainer and does not require any adapter to use. Updated 02/02/2017. The regulator just split and is shooting water inside of our utility compartment. The crack is in the body of the regulator. 3 days beyond the return period. This is not recommended.

It's a good valve with and easy to read gauge
It's a good valve with and easy to read gauge. The washer was deformed when it arrived so it needed to be replaced before use but it performs well and the pressure is easily adjustable.

Good pressure regulator
This is my first "true" water pressure regulator that I have tried and I like that the pressure is adjustable but in my case it does not maintain a consistent pressure once you start using water. I have mine set to 60lbs. (I have a park model with all pex tubing and 45-50lbs just doesn't cut it) Once you turn the shower on or a faucet the pressure will drop to around 50lbs. I was hoping that this would maintain your set pressure but it won't. I have plenty of water pressure to compensate for the pressure drop (100lbs+) And I have a large diameter hose feeding the trailer, I guess I could be getting some restriction from the fresh water hookup on the trailer but when one of the other pressure reducers (calibrated hole type) fails they always seem to fail in such a way that I get way more pressure and volume so its like they aren't even there. When this happens I have plenty of flow/volume inside the trailer. As with most pressure regulators you get a surge of pressure and volume but as you continue to leave the faucet on it tapers off. While this is an annoyance its not a deal breaker and it does a better job than the other cheaper ones. Its still early but time will tell how well this one will do.

Great for RV, but might not work for Rabbit / Chicken Barn
I like this regulator. It is compact easy to install. I bought two; one for the RV and one for the Rabbit Barn. The one for the RV works flawlessly. The one I installed in my meter box for my rabbitry only goes down to 10 pounds (NOT "0" LIKE THE GAGUE SAYS..). I swapped it out with the one in the RV and it was the same thing; only goes down to 10 pounds. My target range was 3-5 pounds... so I thought "Ok, turn it on slow and see if anything leaks..." and everything is doing ok. But, with that being said, my fittings are top of the line: I use Schedule-40 1/2" PVC pipe, primer/glued to 1/2"x1/8" Schedule-40 tees and Standard Valve Threaded brass lickers (pic attached). So, I am able to use this on my rabbits but 10 lbs is too much for the coup cup chicken waterers so they are still on a bucket-type gravity-fed system.

but it is an excellent alternative. First
This little Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) costs a lot more than the cheap alternatives, but it is an excellent alternative. First, it provides real, mechanical PRV function, just like a larger valve you would install for your house. This means you are guaranteed constant pressure reducing to save your RV, etc., from higher pressures. Second, the quality of the brass valve is just excellent. Lastly, the gauge on the RV side of the valve is a nice touch, allowing you to verify and/or adjust the pressure on the downstream side of the valve. Costs a little more, but definitely worth it.
