PJ Wood 5 Tier A-Frame Ladder Shelf - Black

My husband and I bought two of these. The assembly went pretty quick and easy. They were very affordable, so we got what we expected. Not a super strong, solid bookshelf, but still will do a great job for what they are intended. Some of the pieces are cut askew and roughly painted. Quality control would be a suggestion. Otherwise, if you are looking for a reasonably priced bookshelf, you’ll love these.

Instructions had an inventory of labeled parts unfortunately none of the parts were labeled. The dowels supplied did not fit the holes. Instructions were impossible to follow as parts were not labeled and did not fit together. Spent hours on this.

Finished shelf looks pretty good. I did paint the bottom of the shelves to match the tops as they were not painted. Nice shelf for the price.

The trick with these leaning shelves is how solid they are once you've put them together. I've had a few that were kind of flimsy once assembled which would then degrade over time and start coming apart. This one is very solid though. One note of caution: the hex wrench that comes with it is made of metal that is too soft--it was stripped after 20 minutes of assembly. Have your own hex wrenches to assemble this.

Great shelf for the price! I will agree with the other comments that the screws are hard to screw in with just the tool that they provide. So to tighten the screws deep enough I had to use pliers to turn the the tool given, which work perfectly to get the screws in far enough.

do not listen to reviews saying it is difficult to assemble or that you need to drill the holes deeper/wider if you have put together anything from ikea or similar you can certainly put this together looks great, just as pictured

I was excited about this item but it all went down hill. The top half was great but the bottom half holes didn't line up with the pegs when we tried to put the other side together, it was like I had 2 left sides. Contacted the seller, sent in pictures as instructed and I haven't heard anything from the seller it's been 3 weeks. 👎👎 Now 3 months

I like the look of this shelf, but when I put it together (which took about an hour and was not difficult), I noticed a crack on the bottom shelf. I was a good way through putting the thing together and did not feel like taking it all apart and boxing it back up. I thought for the $ I paid for this item, the quality control should be better. There's also a few spots were the color isn't quite right. Not majorly noticeable, but still not what I paid for. I'm keeping this shelf as-is, but if I could go back in time, I would probably order a different one.
