Fitted by myself onto old wall with a couple of challenges5,6 mm plugs 40 mm 5 diameter screwsIdeally find brick or block behind plasterUsed 60 mm screws on central plinth as plaster pulled out went straight into brickie plinth 20 mm , plaster 20 mm plug 25 mmIf you go direct onto board probably need geo-fix or some other high load bearing fixing

My elderly sister wasn’t able to be discharged from hospital until we had a second bannister fitted. The council wouldn’t fit one as there was asbestos in artex.. i bough the handrail from Amazon and had it fitted. The fitter was very impressed by the excellent quality and sturdiness and my sister loves it.

I have been using this rail for a couple of months now and am really very impressed with the sturdiness of it. The company have been really helpful and friendly as I ordered it the day I moved into a new house, only forgot to change the address with Amazon before ordering, The company couldn't have been more helpful in re-routing the order to my new address. I was in hospital when to arrived at my sons who not only took delivery of it but fitted to to the wall for me with ease. The wood is beautiful and the fixings just show it off. I would highly recommend this rail and the company. I would have given more more stars if it had been possible. Well worth the money.

Whilst the product works, little thought went into design.The support bracket catch one's fingers as you run run your hand down the rail and the veneered finished is too slippery to grip. I have a medium/large hand so the diameter of the rail is okay but smaller handed people might find it more difficult to grip

Love the chrome finish. Looks expensive

Looks very nice but I find the joins in pole a nuisance. You can't hold on all the way down. You have to let go at each of the joints.

Just what we wanted. Well packed and lovely finish on the wood and chrome and was unable to find the same item anywhere on the web for the price. Would like to find the same item but shorter for the other side if I can. Bet very happy with this.
