Ferro rod is VERY thin and SMALL
Looking at the pictures I thought the ferro rod was at least as thick as a pencil. Unfortunately it was not even close. On top of that, the “rod”, when we took it out, looks to us like it is just over a couple of inches in length. The Piston itself appears well made. One problem we ran into though was there is so much oil/grease inside the piston, it did not generate any embers for us. We needed to clean much of this grease out to get it to work for us. Was not as easy as it sound to generate an ember for us.
