RACE X RX2930 Tyre Pressure Gauge

I bought this gauge, sold as being the Racex brand, from the Amazon Marketplace seller Motionperformance - Waxacar. My husband had chosen it for me to buy as a gift for him, having done his research and been convinced it would be just what he needed. What arrived, however, was an unbranded tyre pressure gauge with no instructions, no manufacturer details, serial number or country of origin, no packaging other than a clear plastic case, a scratch across the front and a badly-mounted dial.I raised these concerns with Motionperformance - their response was merely to send me a return postage-paid label. They didn't address the issues I raised at all. They have since given me a refund, after receiving the returned item.I contacted the manufacturer, Mountney, who suggested I buy it from Halfords online because orders for this item via the Halfords website are fulfilled direct by Mountney. That way I would be sure of getting the real thing. It arrived today - wow! What a difference! This one, with the word 'Racex' clearly on the dial, comes in a blister-type pack with details of the manufacturer, where it was made, etc. The gauge itself has a serial number on it and seems to be in perfect working order, and the clear plastic box has an instruction label on the back. This one looks like the one in the pictures helpfully posted on Amazon by billyh42 in September 2016.I now have a much happier husband!

Like the other one star review here first got delivered a fake by Motionperformance - Waxacar. Found out because I complained when it broke on first use. The replcemnet was the real thing and would get a 5 star review as it is excellent. Make sure what you get looks like the picture on the main page.

I bought this in December of 2016 and have used it once every fortnight to check my tyre pressures.Although this model was slightly more expensive than digital tools that do roughly the same job, I opted for this because:a) It was mechanical and therefore wouldn't require any charging or battery replacements.b) There were some very positive reviews for it both on Amazon and elsewhere.c) I was drawn by the appearance.The readings given by the gauge seem highly consistent and, over time, helped to reveal a slow leak in one of my tyres which I may not otherwise have noticed.The item is reassuringly weighty and has a large clear dial that is easy to read; it is worth noting, however, that it lacks any luminous features so although the white dial makes it readable in low light, you would need a torch if you intended to use it in the dark. The gauge comes in a very solid and form fitting case that I feel would protect it if I were to drop it, and in any case protects the glass dial from scratches while it's knocking about in the boot of my car.A few of my neighbours have made positive comments and have subsequently called on me when they had concerns about their tyre pressures, so clearly this item has made an impression.I hope that this has been helpful. If my experience with this item changes at any point in the future, I will return to amend this review.

I needed an accurate tyre pressure gauge and I would have to say that first impressions are good. Accuracy requires two things - consistent repeatability and secondly, readings which reflect the true level of pressure being measured. This gauge is, like my old PCL pencil gauge, utterly consistent.My BMW 1 series is fitted with TPMS sensors and so I checked all four wheels with both the Race X and my PCL gauge. On each of the 4 wheels, the Race X measured 1psi higher than the TPMS sensors and the PCL was 2 higher. This would suggest that not only are the gauges consistent but the TPMS sensors are also giving consistent readings from one sensor to the next. I have adopted (somewhat arbitrarily perhaps) the readings from my TPMS sensors to be the "gold standard" and have labelled my other gauges "Reads 1psi too high" and "reads 2psi too high".After a little practise, the gauge is easy enough to seat without air leaking out and the pressure relief valve is a nice touch to make adjustments less of a chore. Unfortunately, the latter doesn't always work as intended in situ because the head of the gauge doesn't swivel and so you will often find yourself checking the pressure whilst faced with the reverse side of the gauge. In this instance, it's no problem to remove the gauge, check the reading and then if required, release a little air before checking again. On balance, I like this item although . . .as usual - Made in Taiwan/China. Why is it we can make stuff like this ourselves?? I would gladly pay a little more for something made in the UK which . . brings me on to the PCL gauge. I also bought a replacement for my old one which will now live in the car. It was planned to leave the new PCL gauge in an emergency motorcycle puncture repair kit residing in my bike panniers but when I tested it against both the Race X and my old gauge, both of which were very consistent, on a tyre set at 43psi using my old PCL gauge, the new one gave readings of 33psi, 40psi and on the final measurement, blew the plunger hard out against the stop and gave a reading of 50+. Interesting to note, whilst ostensibly identical to my old gauge, the new PCL is barely 50% of the weight of the old one and is going back - either faulty or fake . . my money's on both. I will contact PCL and possibly buy a replacement direct, subject to their comments.I bought the Race X direct from Amazon rather than one of their sellers - the genuine item has Race X written on it's dial but I notice at least one seller purports to be selling the same item which again, looks the same . . minus the Race X logo and several reviewers have suggested the items are fake. It seems PCL aren't the only ones. BUY FROM AMAZON direct!!!!!!

Este medidor de presión lo pedí porque tenia uno de otra marca tipo pedal que compré en una tienda de una marca reconocida y me salió bastante malo.Viene en una caja plástica transparente bastante útil para guardarlo, la medida después de comprobarlo en varias gasolineras es bastante fiable, mas bien diría que el de alguna gasolinera no media correctamente, cuando tomas la medida se queda registrada para una lectura cómoda y a través de su pulsador puedes ponerlo a cero o incluso puesto en la válvula puedes ir presionando por si tiene mas presión de la cuenta y ajustarlo espero que os sirva mi comentario.Saludossssssssss

El manómetro está bastante bien construido. La escala está hasta los 4 bares lo cual lo hace perfecto para coches y motos. Tiene un botón para activar la válvula de escape y así desinflar las ruedas hasta la presión que deseamos.Cuando lo pinchas a la rueda para comprobar la presión, no hace falta mantenerlo pinchado para ver la lectura, sino que podemos retirarlo en seguida y la lectura se quedará marcada hasta que pulsemos el botón de desinflado que deja escapar el aire y lo deja a 0.El manómetro viene con una pequeña caja rígida de plástico. No es gran cosa (la caja), pero sirve para proteger el manómetro.Pongo 4 estrellas porque no he podido verificar del todo su precisión con una unidad calibrada. A pesar de eso, se ve que las lecturas que orece son bastante precisas.

Hala, ya no tengo que ir a jugármela con la manguera de una gasolinera.Tan sencillo como quitar el tapón del neumático y presionar la boquilla. Se lee de vistazo y ocupa un mínimo espacio.Los materiales se ven de calidad, metal cromado y con el peso justo. El reloj con la esfera de plástico pero robusto. Si acaso lo que no me gusta es el estuche, el cierre va muy duro y el plástico da la impresión de romperse con una caída.Lo recomiendo sin duda.

Gerade bestellt und schon am nächsten Tag geliefert.Der Prüfer macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck und liegt beim Prüfen gut in der Hand.Kein Vergleich zu einem billigen Prüfer.Ich habe Vertrauen und bei meiner 1.Messung ,im Vergleich zu einem LCD Prüfer keine Abweichung festgestellt.Sehr schön ist auch die Aufbewahrungsbox,da kann nichts klappern oder zerkratzen,laßt sich gut im PKW verstauen.Dieses Produkt würde ich weiterempfehlen.

Den Luftdruckprüfer habe ich sowohl für mein Motorrad als auch für mein Auto gekauft. Man soll ja den Luftdruck bei kaltem Reifen messen....Der Prüfer ist in der Schutzbox gut verstaut, das Handling mit dem abgewinkelten Metallkopf lässt sich gut sowohl auf stehende Ventile ( Auto ) als auch abgewinkelte Motorradventile setzen. Das Ablesen ist ein Kinderspiel und die Zuverlässigkeit gegeben. Das war für mich ein Hauptkriterium, da mein Prüfer mit Batterie immer dann nicht funktionierte, wenn man ihn brauchte. Die Genauigkeit scheint mir für Reifen ebenfalls gegeben. Eine Abweichung von evtl. 0,1 bar sehe ich als nicht so kritisch an, wenn ich alle Reifen nach gleichem Gusto messe.

Der Luftdruckprüfer ist handlich und zeigte präzise an, das stimmt! Ich habe ihn vor knapp zwei Jahren gekauft und im Frühjahr und Herbst beim Reifenwechsel am Auto benutzt, also recht selten. Vor wenigen Tagen beim Reifenwechsel ist der Prüfer ausgefallen, das Rückschlagventil bläst ab und der Zeiger fällt in Nullstellung zurück. Dadurch ist der Prüfer für Meßstellen, die man nicht direkt sieht, unbrauchbar geworden. Auf Anfrage wies der Händler auf eine Garantiedauer von einem Jahr hin, die natürlich abgelaufen ist. Von einem Luftdruckprüfer in einer doch etwas höheren preislichen Region habe ich eine höhere Funktionsdauer erwartet. Vielleicht war es doch nur ein Exemplarfehler? Ich werde es wohl noch einmal versuchen. Das aktuelle Gerät sieht noch neuwertig aus und ist nun ein Fall für die Schrottbox!!!

Sempre ottima la rapidità di consegna e prodotto di buona qualità, la plastica della custodia non è un granché ma alla fine quello che conta è il manometro che si è rivelato di buona ma fattura con cassa in acciaio e una buona precisione che nulla ha da invidiare con quelli che solitamente si trovano nei distributori o dai gommisti.Le istruzioni sono scarne e in inglese ma vista la facilità d'uso se ne può benissimo fare a meno, se proprio vogliamo basterebbe l'avvertenza che la pressione dei pneumatici va provata a freddo , troppe volte ho visto gente provare la pressione durante un viaggio o un riformento e regolare la pressione con le gomme ancora calde

Il manometro che cercavo, con una scala di lettura ampia e ben visibile ma soprattutto con un range massimo di 4 Bar, vicino quindi alla pressione dei pneumatici, che normalmente va da 2 a 2,5 Bar.La misura sarà pertanto più accurata di quella dei manometri standard, visto che la leggeremo intorno a metà del fondo scala (i manometri comuni hanno normalmente un fondo scala di 12 Bar e 2 - 2,5 Bar li leggiamo all'inizio della scala, dove l'errore relativo è maggiore).Il manometro ha un aspetto e un feeling robusti, la lettura si fa in un attimo e rimane in "memoria", potendola azzerare con l'apposito tasto. Con lo stesso tasto si può inoltre aggiustare la pressione, se più alta, scendendo al valore desiderato.Il manometro è infine dotato di una custodia solida e ben fatta.Spero di esserti stato utile, un saluto

Si tratta di un manomentro di qualità eccellente che consente una risoluzione nella lettura della pressione decisamente superiore a quella dei manomtri tradizionali. Infatti i manometri tradionali hanna una scala che si estende fino ad 8-10-12 atmosfere, per cui la risoluzione ottenibile è necessariamente limitata, indipendentemnete dalla loro qualità. Questo manometro ha invece una scala più ridotta, che consente di apprezzare meglio piccole variazioni di pressione.Risulta pertanto particolarmente adatto ad esempio per rendere uniforme la pressione degli pneumatici della vostra auto: li gonfiate ad una pressione un poco superiore a quella attesa e poi, con questo manomentro, li sgonfiate leggermente alla pressione voluta, con una lettura uniforme e ripetibile sui vari pneumatici. Adatto anche a biclette da città e mountain bike. Molto consigliato.Ovviemente il prodotto non è invece adatto a controllare la pressione di pneumatici ad alta pressione, come quelli delle biciclette da corsa o degli autocarri.

Habe den Luftdruckprüfer für diverse Fahrzeuge gekauft, 1 Motorroller, 1 Motorrad und 1 Auto. Beim Motorroller ist es bei den kleinen Rädern mit Bremsscheiben sehr eng .. aber mit etwas fummeln bekam ich auch dort den benötigten Winkel hin. Der Anschluss dieses Prüfers ist in keiner Richtung verstellbar, auch wenn es auf den Bildern so aussehen mag. Trotzdem, alles ok und handlich ist es ja auch.Das Gerät macht einen sehr soliden Eindruck und kommt mit einer Plastikbox zur Aufbewahrung. Ein Vergleich mit der digitalen Anlage einer Tankstelle folgt noch. Bisher konnte ich zumindest feststellen ,dass ich mit dem Roller so eine Anlage aufsuchen muss :).Ich bin damit zufrieden.

Wie in den zuvor schon veröffentlichten positiven Rezensionen, ist diesem Gerät nichts hinzuzufügen.Vielleicht nur eines: ich habe die Messungenauigkeit der Anzeige überprüft und bei einer Referenzmessung eine Ungenauigkeit bei meinem Gerät von 0,01 bis 0,02 bar festgestellt.Diese wirklich sehr geringe und zu vernachlässigende Abweichung hat mich sehr angenehm überrascht. Preis/Leistung sind hier mehr als OK!Aus diesem Grund eine klare Kaufempfehlung

Wie genau das Gerät wirklich anzeigt würde man ja nur mit einem geeichten Referenzgerät herausfinden können. Daher kann ich über die Genauigkeit nichts sagen. Gegenüber dem Gerät an der Tanke zeigte es immer 0,1bar weniger an. Welches Gerät den Luftdruck nun genau anzeigt, weiß ich nicht. Viele Tankstellen-Reifendruckgeräte haben ein Eichsiegel und viele zeigen unterschiedliche Werte an.Der Luftdruckprüfer macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck.

Es un manómetro de calidad y con un tamaño contenido que puedes llevar siempre contigo en el coche para comprobar de manera fiable y rápida la presión de los neumáticos. Tiene la ventaja de que no necesita pilas tal y como sucede con los digitales, así que una cosa menos de la que preocuparte.Si tienes un exceso de presión, dispone de un botón regulador para eliminar dicha presión.

Molto ben costruito, solido e preciso. Lo uso principalmente per la moto, riesco a misurare con facilità sia all'anteriore che al posteriore. Uno dei pregi è che il valore misurato rimane indicato anche quando lo si stacca dalla valvola della ruota, per cui anche se la posizione non consente di vedere la lancetta mentre si misura, si può leggere il valore in seguito. Dotato di valvola per sgonfiare lo pneumatico.

Super Luftdruckprüfer der sich auch noch super Händeln lässt.An den meisten Tanken wird ja bereits kräftig für das Befüllen u. Prüfen am Luftdruck abkassiert.Zudem sind die Aufsätze dermaßen verkratzt und scharfkantig das man sich schnell seineAlufelgen ruiniert. Da ich bei kurven Ausfahrten meistens einen anderen Luftdruck fahre ist dieser Prüfer genau das Richtige für mich. Kann das Gerät daher nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
