Quality darbuka
I got a used one, in perfect condition, for half price. An excellent instrument, with a spare skin, and a carry case. Bargain. Robust. Sounds good. Plays better than me. The base is slightly larger than mainl, but compares well. The blue is very pretty, and the paint includes inside, so you wont have trouble with aluminium on skin. For free traditional music, some easy to learn, search for www khafif com/rhy/ Jas's Middle Eastern Rhythms FAQ, and simply work through a few of the D-t-k notations, then to learn split hand technique, and slow or fast style, look on youtube. Then get a teacher. The full price drum is good value amongst famous euro brand names. If you find a bargain, it is a worthwhile punt, that sounds good for beginners, and will not get in your way, as you progress.
