The media could not be loaded.  I purchased two of these and they are Great lights, perfect size for my marinland 5G. However I didn’t use the mount. Just velcroe’d the lights to the top panel along with a little knob to pick the whole top up with. I bought a Smart surge protector with 4 outlets, so I could set them on a timer. Moonlight starts at 6:00am and off at 9:00am. The daylight starts at 8:00am and is on until 8:pm. The moonlight then kicks back on at 7:00pm and back off at 9:pm. This has worked perfectly for my setup and isn’t too much for my plants at all. Plus I like having lights in my tank on when I’m home to see it. I will update this on how well they affect plant growth and seed germination in a month or so. But I’d definitely purchase these for this price point. P.S. for the seller, if your the engineer/dev of this light just go ahead and add a built in timer and light mode setting to the timer. And ask 30-40$ for it, would sell like hot cakes!

Bought this to replace the light on my little 3 gal tank. It's perfect! My old light was backed with metal & more sturdy, but this has a nice easy to reach click switch to turn on & off and is still plenty bright. I feel like this is a tiny bit less bright than the old one, but since that's dead I can't compare for sure. My live plants are very happy. I really like how I can slide the light in the holder to position it where I want. I wouldn't put this on a really big or deep tank, but it's great for small tanks. I'd say up to a 10 gallon tank would be fine, medium to low light loving plants. The blue light is really bright at night (and day), almost too much, but it would be great for glo danios & neon decor.

4 month update: I have bought a third lamp so that I have two running in daylight, and one running in moonlight at night. Also, this is the only affordable, compact, high light option for this type of 5 gallon tank. I would recommend that anyone looking into this light buy a more powerful plug. I noticed that once I changed to a 36 watt, 3 amp plug, to run all three of these with ramp timer, they have delivered a brighter light. Well worth the investment. Great lights.Original review : I bought this light after I attempted to grow floating plants in my 5 gallon betta tank and kept failing. I went to my local fish shop and asked the owner "what I was doing wrong?". He told me that his plants grow because he has so much bright light on them. So I went back home and found this light and a ramp timer. Needless to say I was skeptical of this lamp working for floaters, but I was pleasently surprised. Within a few days, my floating plants began to grow roots and reproduce. I then decided to buy a second light so that I could connect the ramp timer and use the moonlight for nighttime. Both lights and ramp timer cost me about $70, which is a bargain for this type of setup. Only negative is that the lamp only has one channel, so you can only use one of the two light settings at any given time. Which is the reason I have two lights instead of just needing one light to handle both daylight and moonlight with the timer. Overall great buy, but could be better as timers are a must in the fish enthusiast world.

Great light, got it for my two and a half gallon and it fits perfect and goes really well with the black trim of the tank. The body of the bracket is plastic but seems fairly durable but it's not going to move too much so that's not really a concern. It is a little bright for my small tank without its cover but cover defuses enough light to give the tank a warm light. The blue light is perfect for trying to catch your fish sleeping. The space in between the light and the switch is okay at about 14 inches, I found the best place for mine is on the bracket. I am really enjoying this light and will update if anything happens.

I was skeptical about a light coating so little.... but let me tell you this light is incredibly bright for its size and stays cool. I have the 21 inch max one and it’s plenty big enough for my new 20 long tank. In my 40 G breeder tank I’m using t5 bulbs a blue(saltwater color) bulb and a regular Lowes plant bulb. This puts out more light than the T5’s . As far as growing plants. I can’t fully say it’s better than my fluorescent lights yet due to the fact it’s only been in the tank for 3 days. But I will say a tuft of hair algae has grown off a piece of drift wood in the first few days. Long story long I think it’s an incredible cost to value ratio ! Defiantly will be buying another lager one for the 40 breeder to lower the electrical bill. Plus nobody wants to pay 35$ a T5 bulb when you can use a LED system .

Good concept, but for my 20 gallon it is just not bright enough. I will have to get a second one, hopefully that will brighten things up. Love the moonlight.

I love this light. It is very sleek and modern. It puts off ample light into my 30 gal aquarium. It has white light for day and blue light for night. I turn mine off at night, but I use the blue for evening. It easily attaches to the side of the tank with a screw down clamp. Good quality.

These are the best aquarium lights ever! I have five tanks 3, 5 gallon and two 10 gallon. I have bought and returned a couple different style lights from Amazon including the tube lights that stick inside the aquarium with suction cups. The problem with those is the switch is near the plug and the same as the rectangle type with the thin wire brackets that set on top of the rim. I try to hide all my plugs so it's impossible to turn them on and off. This light however is absolutely perfect! The switch is a few inches down from the light itself so I can hide the plugs and still turn the light on and off. It fits over the rim unlike some other clip-on units. I am about to order my fifth! I also like that it switches to all blue for night time. ETA after 2 weeks 1 is shorting out at the switch. Contacted seller.

Finally, the fish are happy because there is light, good quality. I didn't use the provided light holder but instead used a 3M double-sided tape to stick it on the rack.

Fits perfectly and is exactly what we needed for our fish tank. Good delivery time and good product
