Great product! These watercolor brushes are easy to use with great blend ability and color range! Love them.

What a wonderful set of markers. I have used them on regular copy paper and gotten outstanding results. The colors are so vibrant and the brush tips makes them easy to control. I believe these markers rival the much more expensive brands. I have also used them as a base color and then used colored pencils over them with great results. I’m very pleased with this set. I like that the cap stacks on the end. I also like the color name as well as the color number is written on the barrel. The end of the pen also has the color on it. It comes with two blending pens as well. I think it’s a really good value. I really love that they are brush tips. I had to contact the company about a very minor issue and they bent over backwards to make it right. I can’t stress how great their service is. To me that’s very important. I will be purchasing their products in the future as well.

I really enjoyed this set of watercolor pens. I am a novice when it comes to watercolor but this made my learning really fun and simple. It's pretty neat that they included two water pens, which is why I picked it over other brands. There are many colors of varying tints, shades, and tones. That's helpful because aside from mixing colors, it can be hard to control how much to dilute with your water pen. The brush heads themselves feel to me very much like a synthetic brush but with good fibers and will handle reasonable use. The pigmentation is strong on some so you will have to experiment. In general I feel like it's decently easy to mix, although I haven't used pens from other brands so I can't compare that trait. I'm still getting used to the many ways you can use the pens. Like wet on wet or wet on dry techniques. I'll update after I've had them for longer! There's no instruction booklet so it's really your own adventure. Also, my friends have had a chance to try it too. It can be challenging to control watercolor, but everyone enjoyed the new experience. Definitely recommend! I attached a piece I did after some practice, using only Doodle Hog markers and water pen.

These are a true brush pen. I hate it when a brand says they are a brush pen and the nib is rigid and doesn't move. Brushes flex & bend. These flex & bend. Colors are really vibrant especially for the price. My one and only complaint is I'll be sad when any of these run out since I can't buy them individually. Would love to see these with student grade paint in them and/or a matching colored pencil set since I'm a fan of mixed media. I recommend them for sure.

The box is incredibly sturdy and beautifully packaged. I usually do not keep my art supplies in their originally packaging, but the box is so graphically interesting and sturdy - I think I will keep it in this box, after all! There is a great range of colors included for the price. When using the pens - the ink seemed a bit dry depending on the color, and the tip frays slightly... but if I keep in mind that I will be adding water later anyways, it shouldn't make a huge difference. Once you add water the colors blend so nicely and easily... and I'm able to to achieve wonderfully bleeding as I would with regular watercolors. I can see myself using these for several quick watercolor applications, and would allow me to sketch as I would normally. I would totally recommend these looking for watercolor pens/markers for a good price - and totally will for my high school students.

I am so impressed with this set of watercolor brushes that I'm immediately ordering another set. I have a couple of different, more expensive sets of watercolor brushes and they are good. But this one is the best value. Every pen was fine from the start, no dry ones in this set. They are a very good expanse of colors, though I might make a few additions and deletions by my own preference. And two of the names do not match the colors at all ("Slate Blue" is really red violet). But I'm very glad that I bought these and expect to make a lot of use of them with my regular watercolors. 💖
