This worked really well. I had an old one on my screen door that was just worn out. I was able to use one of the existing brackets attached to my door frame. I had to replace the bracket that attaches to the door, but I was able to use the existing screw holes. Adjustment was a little tricky. First attempt the door kept slamming shut. Turns out I just needed to adjust the door bracket and now it closes very nicely.

Measure your door opener tube BEFORE ordering. This was 10.5", but some are 9", etc. Close door. Remove the pin at each end of your original unit. They just pull out with fingers! Take off the door stop thingy (slides on rod to jam door open) and put it on the new unit. Put everything back together. One pin is a larger diameter than the other--so if the pin won't go in, it belongs at the other end. Worked great. Took under 2 minutes. Package was old clam-shell style that took longer to open than to get this thing installed.

A good replacement. Mine was damaged and this was a drop in easy fix. It was a bit of a challenge to install, as it required me to pull the cylinder with a wrench to install the last pin. Had to knock it a star because there is no way to adjust the spring tension (but the price point was perfect).

Bought this as an exact replacement for the original closer. Works great. Easy to install. Package included all the brackets and screws needed to attach it to the door and frame.

An exact replacement for the closers on my storm door, which were 30? years old and worn out. After a little adjustment, the door doesn’t slam closed anymore. My neighbors probably appreciate it, too.

This is the type of door closure that my parents door had while growing up and it worked for 50 years. I am very happy so far. It has a manual slide in order to keep the door open which I like since the automatic one that was originally on the door failed.

Needed replacement for my old closer on storm door. Perfect replacement for old Ultra models 2000/2100/1600 All I used was the cylinder as my original hardware was much better than what came with the kit. My first time installing a door closer...easy! When closing, the closer tube "gives up" the last several inches, and the door slams shut. Tried various combinations of adjusting the tension and the location of the bracket on the door, but nothing helped. Would not purchase this product again, especially now that the price has nearly tripled.

Mine stopped working out of a sudden. So the storm door keeps slamming. This was shipped to me quickly. It's straight forward, easy to install. It works for its purpose; however, it's not as strong as my old one. The tube is also smaller, I guess that's why it's not as strong. Sometime, when I open the storm door and there's strong wind, it won't be able to close the door unless I pull the door in a bit. But overall, I'm happy for the value.

Works ok but the end that connects to the frame of the door is leaking out grease and gets on your hands when you slide the little clip to hold the door open.

Used this closer to replace an old unit that had failed. Easy install (make sure you read the instructions) and easy to set up. Paid just over $11, similar products we $21 at Home Depot.

Easy to install (a power drill helps). Not fussy. Works well. Just remember to install in door jamb so the door swings away from it, pulling the rod with it.
