Kindle Oasis Water-Safe Fabric Cover, Red — Compatible with 9th (2017 release) and 10th generation (2019 release)

Just purchased this cover after using a 3rd party for the last year. My previous cover was cheap and looked it plus the magnet did not always keep the cover closed when my kindle was in my backpack (which meant the Kindle would turn on even when I was not reading it). I am happy to report that this cover corrects all of those mistakes: it looks slim and stylish with a nice texture and discrete Amazon-logo, it feels very solid with a strong magnet that keeps the lid closed regardless of orientation. My only niggle is that it does not completely cover the top/bottom edges which in extreme cases may lead to scratches but that's not a problem for me. Highly recommended. Should not be confused with the original covers which were not very good.

Good quality cover, nice grip and easy install. Like all the amazon specific stuff it's a little pricey BUT the quality is good so worth it. As much as I love the simple designs of the kindles they do need a case esp if you are putting them in to a bad with other items.

I must say, it is overpriced. If it was £25 or £30, it would be still expensive, but more digestible. But £40 is something mildly infuriating. On the bright side, it is the best one I found. The colours are beautiful. I got the blue one. The texture is great, super nice to the touch and gives an extra grip. It is hard to explain, but it helps to hold the device, as you can distribute the weight over more fingers. Overall I'm happy and at some point, I will forget I paid that much for this item and will be only the happiness of having a great quality product.

I recently replaced my Kindle Paperwhite with a new Kindle Oasis. As with all this type of tech, the annoying thing is that you spend a lot of money but only get the basics, so a cover is not included. A cover will cost you between £15-£70 depending on whether you go cheap or leather. I decided to play safe and go for this official Amazon-branded one, retailing at the mid-range of £39.99. Made of water-safe fabric it gives an additional layer of protection against water. It fits perfectly and I like the textured hessian feel, non-slip material which is good to hold. It is slimline, adding as little as possible to the size or weight of the Oasis. I also liked the 3 colours, I went for blue whereas my husband has chosen a charcoal black one for his new Oasis. It has a magnetic closure to hold it shut which also turns off the kindle, it then restarts when opened. The cover bends all the way back if you prefer to read that way, I just let it flop back over my hand while I hold the handle. 1 star deducted as I am still peeved at having to fork out for a cover!

Before I bought this really great case for my new Kindle Oasis 10th Generation. I read several very negative reviews on covers . The prices were pretty steep. Finally I asked for assistance from people who had bought any cover they would recommend ...and to those kind people who took the time to reply ...Thank you so much ... They recommended this cover , which I received today. . It’s really Great ...fits perfectly looks so nice ! I love it. I cannot comment on durability as yet ...but It does wake it up and put it bed folds back cleanly for reading it feels nice to touch..I haven’t yet noticed any appreciable extra weight or I’m so impressed with its looks I don’t care...shallow Moi’...it’s possible.. but so glad I asked for some assistance and thanks again for your input. FMO..

Bought to protect Kindle Oasis that I had been given as a present. Good hard back and protective front flap that looks great and does an excellent job of protecting the device. Flap wakens up and places unit in standby which is very useful. Although expensive compared to other covers it is worth the extra money, in my opinion. Still easy and comfortable to hold the device when the flap is open and fully folded back on itself when the magnet holds it securely.

Initially impressed with this cover, good for felt good. However now beginning to fray at the edge of the cover. Not affected the protection but looks tatty. Not been harshly used and for the price I would expect it to at least last longer than 6/7 months..

This cover is perfect, it looks great, feels great to hold, seems sturdy, and works perfectly. But should a cover like this cost 17.5% of the price of the thing it's covering? This seems expensive to me, especially since the PU "leather" ones are about 10-15 pounds or 1/4 to 1/3rd less.
