Record MasterVinyl slipmat,3mm Anti-Static Cork Turntable Slipmat,Record Player Mat

I have had a felt mat on my U-Turn Audio turntable since I got it. No issues, per se, but I have some records where there seems to be static that I can't get rid of. These cork mats are advertised as cutting down on static electricity, so I figured for $12.99, it's worth a shot. It is nice and thick (3 mm), with a thinner area near the middle to accommodate the record label, helping the vinyl to sit flatter. Certainly, static electricity is audibly reduced on my problem records. So that alone is great. It's also supposed to make better contact and reduce vibration, improving bass and imaging. That, I'm not sure of, as it is hard to easily A/B it with the felt (by the time you swap mats and put the record back on, it's hard to notice if it is better or worse in overall sound). But it looks and feels nice, and helps with the static, so really no reason not to try at this price.

I've wanted a cork slip mat for a while but didn't want o pay upwards of $30 for one. When I saw this item and the positive reviews I decided to give it a chance. I am very glad I did. The improvement to my sound was immediate and quite noticeable. The "sound floor" on my records just got much quieter, and static problems are gone entirely. I recommend this highly. Can't go wrong for the money and quality.

I was skeptical of this product initially because I had come across other products that claimed to the anti-static. This one is and the price is impressive.

It is good quality product. Only complaint is that the diameter is exactly the same as the album. A better design would be to make it just a few mm smaller than an album. This would make it easier to remove the album from the tray. When it’s the same size it is difficult for your fingers to separate the album from the cork pad without conscious effort.

If you just want the cork look, go for it. If you really need help with static. This ain’t it. I am in a forever battle with static around my records and player. I will beat it one day, but. It because if this.

Slipmat arrived in bent package. Slipmat was bent. Could not remove bend with water and book weights, Using slipmat as a dust shield on my turntable platter.

the sound quality was immediately different clear sounding... but I dj and there is not slip to it and the thickness is more for the home vinyl listener. wasn't what I expected at all on a brighter note it did do what it says just not a good fit mfor my need

Simply inexpensive record mat. I like the recessed area for the label. I have tried several dif. record mat materials over the years and find this one works fine, doesn't attract excessive dust! It's also a price performer,
