Right thoughts at the right time
They say when a student is ready, a teacher appears... this book, published in 1988, couldn't have come to me at a better time. I am 50% through it, and it has already totally changed my life. I have always been considered a creative person, but to see the creative process spelled out as a process anyone can learn was an eye opener. Instead of approaching life as a series of problems to solve, I am now able to view these glitches as opportunities to create something new, something better. Robert Fritz does a wonderful job of explaining why problem-solving actually leads to more problems to solve.Add to that my new-found ability to gauge, allocate and nurture my creative energy, to sustain motivation by recognizing which phase of the creative process I am engaged in, and well, Path of Least Resistance is an absolute winner. Can't wait to see what the rest of the book does for me!That said, here's a bit of a caution - it is very densely written. It is not a book to skim, or even to jump around in without having first read it. The concepts aren't easy to grasp at first, but they build on each other, and I found that if I just keep reading, eventually I get enough of the concepts that they all click into place and start to make sense. If you are in a stuck place in your life, it's worth the time and effort. Just take it easy, read a chapter or two, and then watch how the new information works in your life. You'll know when to move on to the next chapter. The writing is compelling and entertaining. Not a hard read, just very very full of solid thinking. If this book were food, I'd have to call it tasty, enticing, and stick-to-your-ribs.

Excellent clarifying book
I was introduced to Robert and his work through Chris Duncan, Andre Chaperon and Shawn Twing, people who I've learnt a lot from and have considered as mentors.Roberts book clarifies how to move into the creative orientation and live a life that is true to yourself.Unlike the 'self-help' industry's way of telling us to 'fix' ourselves, this book reveals how the greatest 'creators' in history like Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Leonardo DaVinci among others, were able to create inspite of their supposed 'shortcomings'.A must read for anyone who's struggled with creating the results that you really desire in your life.

Some very valuable insights
This is a very valuable book if you are looking for a way to reorient your life to live from a creator perspective. It offers insights from the processes of mindset of a creator that can be duly applied to any endeavour in life and flies in the face of most self help and new age positive thinking texts in a way that shines.

liberal methods that sound better than they work in most cases
Interesting, liberal methods that sound better than they work in most cases. Some things work this way, others don't. There are many more things that require discipline and focus beyond getting in the flow.

Required Reading
Quite possibly the most important book I have ever read. It's message is essential and it is presented in a thought-provoking, understandable way.Stop reacting to life's circumstances and start creating. Creating art. Creating results. Creating your life....and become a quicker, better decision maker in the process.

Mind-altering -- world-changing!
I've been a fan of Robert Fritz for many years, ever since the day I sat in on one of his mind-bending training sessions. With a background in music and composing, Robert teaches thinking the way music teachers teach music, and the way coaches teach sports: not as a theoretical, mind-centered exercise but as a practice; a skill; exercising the brain as you would exercise a muscle. "The Path of Least Resistance" is one of those books I wish everyone would read. It will open your eyes to the potential you have to be effective in the world. It's the kind of book that can change your life, if you let it.

Profound and revealing
This book (along with Robert Fritz's other work) have transformed my life. In the parts of my life that are creative (writing software, composing music, drawing), I have always been satisfied, but in other parts of my life (running a business, relationships, my weight, etc.) I wasn't satisfied and I didn't understand why. By showing me how to live in the creative orientation, Robert's work has reshaped my life and helped me understand and pursue what really matters to me. This work has had a profound impact on my life, and I'm grateful that Mr. Fritz shared it with us.
