Be Aware it is less than 30 pages
I just read this book before breakfast today. It is slightly helpful but almost everything was already explained to me in a few basic YouTube videos. The author seems knowledgeable and friendly but I expect books to be much more in depth than this, which is more of a pamphlet. On page 26 the author recommends you buy his other lens ball photography book, which he says is 100 pages. If I had realized this, I would have possibly purchased that book and not this little book.Although the book is clearly written and has some nice photographs, I cannot get over the disappointment of accidentally buying a tiny book with scarcely any educational value beyond what I already learned. I can't bring myself to give it any more than three stars because it is so very basic and brief. It doesn't offer enough to motivate me to buy the other book at this point, although I would have done so in the first place if I knew the difference between the two books. On the bright side, I am happy I got a lens ball (not included with the book of course) and will continue to try and learn more about the details of using it.

Bare bones little book
This has good info, but it’s very short- a little more than a pamphlet. If I’d realized that, I would have purchased a more comprehensive book like what the author recommends at the end of this book.

book?
Came promptly and was informative. However, this book is very short similar to a pamphlet.

Not so much a book, though it is stapled and has a book crease...
Well I did buy this item, and I guess I will keep it. The author did attempt to give a bit of advice and there are a few good pictures in the book, for that I'll go 2 stars on the attempted effort. If the internet ever has a critical failure I'll have a printed "guide".But really I was very, very let down with the "book". A kindred spirit to something one might create from an old 1990's publishing app on WIN95. Sorry guys, at $9 you just missed the target entirely. I admit it is listed as "31 pages", please keep in mind legal ref data, publication, ISBN etc...these contribute to the overall page count. Maybe $4 and you might be somewhat aligned a market price. All in all, I'd advise using the internet for crystal ball picture references. Unless you're just skipping lunch one day and want something to place flat on your desk...as the "book" doesn't really lend itself to a bookshelf orientation.Save your money. Not sure why the other reviews report this is as must have. I tried it, read it in like five minutes, still have it, not a winner...Go buy yourself a good cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll instead. Grab your photo crystal ball and head out for trial and error one morning...you'll be much happier.

Great ideas on how to use the crystal ball
Fully illustrated and wide range of creative ideas on using the ball. I call this a very good primer on this aspect of photography. Recommend for everyone who has a ball.

An overpriced 25 page booklet.
This pamphlet has 25 pages. At £6.88 it is outrageously overpriced. However useful the contents may be to purchasers of the photo ball there is no way that I can recommend this item at the price being charged. One might reasonably expect an item of this nature to be included with the photo ball.

Thin, sparse book of information on Crystal Ball Photography
Is this book value for money? No. Does it provide detailed specific information and examples on how to take photos using a Crystal Ball? Very limited basic information. Book can be read in 10 minutes! Learning points from book can be summarised as 1. Be careful using the ball in strong sun as could cause a fire! 2. Buy a large good quality ball. 3. Glass balls are heavy. 4. Avoid using a base which stops them rolling away as it will appear in your photos. 5. Take shots with a telephoto lens to avoid your own reflection. Otherwise the photographic information is basic and the photographic examples limited. A crystal ball could be used for creative photos in a studio, but seem to have a limited outdoor application. There must be better books on the subject?

A Helpful Guide
I was given a crystal ball for Christmas this year but it had no instructions with it despite the box saying it was for photographic purposes, so good old Google took me to this publication which is actually not much more than a leaflet. However there are some good tips here even if the ‘book’ is a bit overpriced. It may be worth considering buying the author’s other book instead as it is 100 pages long compared to 25. It is called Crystal Ball Inspirations

Disappointed
Disappointed that I spent over six pound for a tiny book with 27 pages, most of which are contents and closing words. Definitely NOT worth the money for a few pages on how to clean a crystal ball.

Overpriced, too short, and uninspiring.
This is in no way a book; it contains just 25 pages and in those pages there is a lot of blank paper. There are some decent colour photographs, but I would hesitate to call them inspiring. The advice is brief and can be found by checking out a couple of websites. None of the advice is what I would call indispensable.I regret spending the money on this 'book' and would not recommend it.
