Fun movie glad they escaped

definitely edge of seat action, did not disappoint,

Reading some of the reviews, you would think that this movie was absolutely terrible. But (IMO) it was anything but. It was a good movie. For me, anytime there is a sequel etc., I like to see some of the characters from the original. Besides Sylvester Stallone, I was glad to see Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, reprise his role. With that being said, I was hoping that Hush would be taking on the Ray's role of breaking out of prison, with Ray being on the outside, but all in all, I still like it. Albeit that the prison in the original was tough to escape, I like that this prison was a step up, making it a little harder to escape. In the end, I liked the movie and let me just say, there's one review I read, where I could swear I have read that same review, on another movie. Because of the wording used in the review, this is why it stood out to me, but I do understand, just because someone else likes/dislikes a movie, doesn't mean all will. So this is why my headline reads "Watch and Judge For Yourself".

I must say that going into this flick it was better than I expected having glanced at a few of all the very critical reviews.So let me be clear, this is no original "Escape Plan" which I thought was really well done and very much enjoyed. But I'm not sure it's quite as bad as everyone is painting it to be. Yes, there is some acting that made some of the characters feel a little bit stale (especially with one of the primary antagonists/villians). Yes, if you are a security specialists, there are plenty of loopholes and details in the plot that you could really question about the prison and their plans and such. But I didn't take it that seriously to begin with, and just enjoyed the story they were trying to tell. I don't think this movie was made with the primary intention of being believable, it's pseudo-thoughtless popcorn-action flick. It's a shorter movie, so they didn't get lost in excessive detail or certainly not in character-development. So it's not like a super waste of time, as the story moves along. Also, they did go overboard on the "shaky-cam" effect, especially in the action/fight scenes. I could've done with much less of that, and it's always a sign of cover-up for not doing superb jobs on the choreographing in my opinion (nobody notices your shitty directing if it looks like the camera's were in the middle of an earthquake while filming)....Anyways, if you like Stallone, and you like the first movie. Well, know that this ain't no sequel on par. But if your willing to temporarily lower your standards for a 1.5 hour ride, it's actually kind of fun if you pretend some of the acting is a little better than it is (just employ your imagination).

This movie was just good, to me. I still think the first Escape plan was the best. I still enjoyed the action, and scenario of breaking out of the prison. Good movie overall 4/5 stars

Full of action from beginning to end

A taut, violent thriller delivered like a brutal kick in the face. Some of the negative reviews were upset about Stallone taking a back seat and about all the new folks. Myself, I was initially a bit dubious about Stallone. He's getting too old to be a credible action figure anymore. Thankfully, he took a more laid back mentor role and left most of the murderous mayhem to younger folks. And those new kids certainly brought the mayhem. Other negative reviews didn't like the way the story was told. The storytelling really was lean, with all extraneous material cut away, leaving a frenetic pace that somehow seemed fitting both to the story and to the times we are in. So I'm going to have to go against the majority on this one and give the film a positive review with a solid 4 stars. My suggestion to you is that if you like action thrillers, don't be put off by the bad reviews. Watch a bit of the movie and decide for yourself if you like this style or not.

Also nach dem ich die DVD bekommen habe musste ich fest stellen das unser gewöhnlicher und erst 1 Jahr alter DVD/Blue R. -Player die DVD nicht abspielen konnte da die Sprache gewechselt werden musste. Auf meinem PC konnte ich den Film dann schauen, da ich dort die Sprachfassung wechseln konnte. Noch mal würde ich den Film nicht kaufen da, wie andere es beurteilten, eine sehr schwache Vorstellung von den Darstellern war.

very very good film

Don't know what they were thinking with this piece of dross. Too much tech, not enough action. Did not reach the same level of enjoyment as the first movie, that was really good, this movie sucked.
