These are quality hinges, but I was disappointed to find that they do not have an inward curve at the knuckle - in other words, they don't fold flat. They leave about a quarter inch gap between the plates when closed. This means they are a marginal solution, requiring deep mortising for a door as butt hinges. However, they would be great if installed open flat (as in the picture) in a surface application.

I placed two orders of these hinges for the same cabinet job. I had to put aside the cabinet job for a couple months. When I restarted the job, I opened the hinge packages one at a time as I needed them. Well, to my surprise, the hinges are from the same manufacturer but they are different. I checked the Amazon invoice and the part numbers are the same. Big problem for me because one door is already mounted but I can't mount the opposing door because those hinges are different. I can't reorder because who knows what version I'll receive. Returning them isn't an option, either. Return window has long closed. Soooo buyer beware. Nice hinges....just not the same hinges.

Ordered these to match other hinges on a door to a screen porch on our lake house. They work just fine and look good.

Very happy with this product. It's just a simple, no-frills hinge.
