So far the product works well and dries firm
I've used the product once so far on recently installed 3/4" oak dark stained flooring which has some poor areas from the factory, other poor areas such as knots, holes, and other imperfections were already factory repaired. I believe the boards I am working on should have been discarded. I first drilled/ground out the bad areas with a Dremel tool creating a sort of pit or valley then mixed up a small quantity of the resin and hardener using a visual calibration of 5 parts resin to 1 part hardener, I added a small amount of TransTint dye to darken the epoxy to match the factory board repairs, the total volume I prepared was around a tablespoon. The mix is quite thin so it will seep deep into cracks which was some of what I wanted but I found once the epoxy begins to setup it can still be easily worked with making it nice to fill other areas requiring careful manipulation of placement such as filling long ground out irregular cracks and chips in the wood. While the epoxy is drying bubbles will come to the surface, a heat gun worked nicely to pop the bubbles. Once dried the epoxy can be sanded or ground down as necessary, then I used a closely matching wood stain and slightly dyed it to match the surrounding area, it looks good and hopefully I can use this to repair other imperfections of the flooring so I won't need to replace any of the boards. The epoxy system includes a set of pumps but instead I planned on using a small kitchen scale to measure the resin and hardener weight/weight into small paper cups but realized the volume I required to measure in grams would be way more than I needed, the epoxy can be measured by pumps, weight, or volume. I found the name of this epoxy system on a youtube video which also shows it being used and tips on its use. I looked locally for these products but not to be found so I was pleased to see Amazon carries both the epoxy and dye. I think without dye the epoxy would harden to be clear.

High quality!
I needed this to Repair a hole in my JetSki along with some fiberglass fiber it did the trick. Follow the instructions and let it set up a little, layer your mats and resin sand.Having the nozzles that measure for you is a nice convenience. It works well.

Great for filling wood voids
Used this for my first work with a walnut slab. Went with this because a lot of folks use it. This package comes with the pumps that measure out the resin and hardener for you. Once they were primed the first time, it was incredibly easy to mix and use. Couldn't be happier with the results using this with a West Systems black pigment and it filled into much smaller cracks and voids that I would have expected. Next time I will apply this before I do too much sanding, it sands about the same as the walnut and looks fantastic.

Best epoxy I have ever used
It goes a long way, I loved the premeasuring pumps. It's no joke, plenty of work time.

Fixed my Lotus clamshell great
I've used various Resin + fiberglass setups in the past but was recommended West Systems on LotusTalk. I broke one of the tabs off on the rear clamshell and needed to get it back in shape, so I figured I'd give this a try. I also purchased the 404 filler which turned out to be key as this creates a structural bond in a smaller space, without having to resort to using lots of fiber mat or fiberglass tape. The pumps really helped out the measuring parts that I always had problems with older resin setups. I put enough filler in to make it have the consistency of "cake frosting" (they say peanut butter, but it never got that stiff for me), positioned a bit of the old broken fiberglass tab, and positioned it properly. I ran some 1" tape in there and waited, then reshaped with a dremel, then drilled the hole back out. Stronger than the other side by far now!I've used it for various other front clam fill and it's pretty easy to use, and the drying time at least in the summer is easy.If you have an Elise, this is the stuff to get.

works well - with a caveat
we are finishing a bar top and have a significant "end check" that runs throughout. We bought this epoxy and tinted it, and used that to fill the crack. The product works great, and is hard and sandable. Was easy enough to use. The pump system works fantastically. I had to swap out the end tubes to fit the cans I bought, but that was super easy and obvious. Using the pumps took all of the math out of the process, and made the product so easy to use.The exothermic factor is REAL. I mixed the product in plastic dixie cups, and if I didn't use it all up it started smoking within 5 minutes, and then melted the plastic cup. And that leads to my only negative comment here. because the crack i was filling was 2.5 " thick, I had to apply the epoxy in several layers (as recommmended by West System Tech Support)- each layer was .25" thick, applied 90 minutes apart, in order to control the exothermic process. And each layer had significant bubbling. But due to the size / shape of the crack I was filling, I couldn't really get a torch down in there very well to exorcise the bubbles. The end cut of the epoxy shows each layer of epoxy and the layer of bubbles in between each layer. Now, I will also admit that I learned during this process that I had the wrong propane torch. The one I bought (at a big box store) - well, it turns out wasn't intended for inverted use. Every time I tried to use it, it went out when I turned the flame toward the epoxy. So some of this might have been averted with the right tools - I readily admit. But even so, I am not susre I could get the torch down in the narrow crack to get those bubbles off of the bottom layer or 2.In the future, if I have such a deep crack to fill, I will explore options with other epoxy products so as to not have to do the fill in 1/4" layers. But for shallower cracks / applications, this product seems great. That old adage "Right tool for the job"...
